Lesnar has been battling H1N1 for about 3 weeks and still is not feeling well. He hasn't been able to train and would've had maybe 2 weeks to train at less than full capacity. Good call.

However, with this card off the card - now the Tito v. Forrest match is the main event and the rest of the card looks like a Fight night card. It was a 2 card PPV as it was. UFC needs to do better in putting together better cards. Putting all their eggs into UFC 100 really put a lot of the top guys in a way that they aren't available for a while. They were trumping their HW match against StrikeForce's free fight on CBS and now they have a Fight Night card instead. This is why Dana should just concentrate on his promotion instead of feuding with other promotions.

The fight is being rescheduled for UFC 108 on Jan. 2, 2010. Good way to start the new year.

I'd be surprised if the UFC doesn't beef up that card with at least a couple decent fights.

Kind of close to the fight date to add much but I saw that Josh Koscheck mentioned that he was offered to fight as co-main event for the night. He didn't say against who though. He'll be fighting Anthony Johnson (yes, the one who just fought this weekend) - both on short notice, even though he becomes Johnson's biggest test this is still a very Fight Night type card. At least the Fight Night like card with Couture v. Vera as the main event is going to be free.

The unannounced Lesnar v. Carwin match for UFC 108 in Jan. is now off as well. Lesnar has been diagnosed with mono and will not be able to even begin training until Dec. at the earliest. Carwin may be given a new opponent now.

The latest on Lesnar (from Dana) is that Lesnar will not be able to fight for a LONG time because he is battling mono and some undisclosed (Dana said he knows what but won't say it to keep Lesnar's privacy) disease/ailment that isn't cancer or AIDS but is not only career-threatening but also life threatening at this point.

Looks like we'll be having another interim title soon. Forget the title or UFC, I hope Lesnar gets well, whatever he's going through.

New info coming out on Brock today, Brock collapsed and was hospitalized during a trip to Canada. They found some sort of intestinal disorder/blockage (on top of the mono) that will require major surgery and recuperation. Brock may never fight again. He is already back in the states. UFC is paying for him to go to Mayo Clinic for further tests, etc.

My prayers are with Brock and Rena. They're going to need all the prayers they can get.

Apparently Minotauro and Carwin are both out as well. Minotauro-staph infection, Carwin knee surgery.

I think there's some doubt now as to whether Anderson Silva fights Belfort also.

Tough times for the ufc's resurging heavyweights....but as they say, when one door closes, another opens (Velazquez? Duffee?? Kimbo???).

Wow! All my best to Lesnar and his recovery.
As for Dana White; why can an older guy like Couture fight more often than some younger stars? Cut the nonsense and, as a business model, make the PPV's a better sell by scheduling some of these "bigger" names more often. Pick up the pace.

After last Saturday night you really want to see more of Randy? Picking up the pace when they have a shortage of compelling fighters/fights for various reasons? Surely you jest.

Carwin will be ready to fight by Feb. UFC HW division is in shambles, not that it was all that great to begin with.

Couture fights as often as the athletic commission allows him to. Most fighters that take any sort of damage get medically suspended after each PPV for varying amounts of time. Couture fights at the limit of each time period because he only has so many fights left in his career and on his contract. They're trying to rush him along so that he can be into a title shot situation asap. It doesn't help that UFC has been using their bigger names hotshotting PPV cards with non-weight class fights and the like. Also, they've spent more time developing Ultimate Fighters with no experience and are more than a year from being a factor than pushing some of the guys they do have that could be used to step up. UFC PPVs have been pretty light since 100. It also doesn't help that in their effort to counter Strikeforce, etc. and promote themselves they are giving main event PPV fights for free only a few months later on SPIKE. Why should the casual fan pay for it? Dana is also being short-sighted with someone like Rampage because Rampage (like Chuck on DWTS) can bring more mainstream fights with his movie-work and promotion for his role in A-Team. Instead Dana trashes the guy for foregoing a big fight. I get the whole contract thing and in that respect Dana is right but Dana is also very heavy handed in how he deals with certain things.

According to an article, Brock may be suffering from severe Diverticulitis which may explain what is going on with him.

I know someone who had this and they had multiple major surgeries to remove parts of the intestines and major life-threatening complications from that. Very touch and go at times. Took years to finally stabilize her situation.
