Some things of note

1) The Rampage vs Evans fight may be called off. The reason... Rampage will be filming his part as B.A. Baracus in the A-Team movie

I really hope this is all rumor. With as much as those two seem to not like each other I was looking forward to the fight

2) File under the Not Finished Yet file... Matt Hughes and Randy Couture both signed new mulit-fight deals with the UFC.

Happy to see this. Even though they aren't the fighters they once were I still enjoy watching them in the octagon.

3) I can't wait to see this one. UFC 107 will have BJ Penn vs Diego Sanchez

I really think this has a shot to be fight of the year. BJ is BJ and Diego IMO has been impressive at 155.

4) Frank Mir's talk of Nog making excuses has upset Big Nog who wants to fight Mir... December???

Frank may regret opening his mouth. Nog looked very good and I think takes a rematch if they have this fight.

5) Sean Salmon admits to throwing a fight. and has the Ohio Athletic Commission looking for answers.

Dumb just dumb. I expect a suspension no matter how to tries to justify what he wrote

Rampage needs to fight again soon. His KO of Vandelei seems like years ago. Hopefully he can find the time to make this fight happen. Was looking foward to it.

Nice to see, but.... While I think Couture can still beat a top 5 fighter on any given night, Hughes I believe is done. I'd like to see a rematch vs. Serra. Not sure he can still compete with the top tier at 170.

I can't wait to see this fight!

Nog deserves a rematch. I am a big Mir fan. They need to fight again. Winner gets a shot at the title.

Miswrote?! Didn't proofread?! I don't know what's worse. That he might have thrown a fight or that people that stupid can just walk freely... Rashad's kick must've really knock some stuff loose in his head.

Agreed that Rampage needs to get in the ring soon. He gave up a title matchup to face Rashad and there's the post-TUF season culmination match to do. Word is that Rashad's manager still hasn't been told that the fight is off but its confirmed that Rampage got the movie role so it won't be possible for him to train and do an action movie.

2) File under the Not Finished Yet file... Matt Hughes and Randy Couture both signed new mulit-fight deals with the UFC.

Not crazy about Couture getting this contract. Its just to keep him away from Strikeforce and a matchup against Fedor. As we saw, Randy can't take a punch nor give one anymore. Nog crumpled him a few times. He gets in there again with Gonzaga or fights with Lesnar, Carwin and he will be KO'd. Hughes needs to get away from thinking he's a boxer and back to what got him success in the first place. Same for Randy.

Should be a great fight if Diego doesn't get scared of getting caught like he did against Koscheck and if he doesn't go in too fast like he did with Guida because he will get caught. Penn is a big step up in competition for him - both standing and on the ground.

4) Frank Mir's talk of Nog making excuses has upset Big Nog who wants to fight Mir... December???

A rematch? Not too crazy about it. Let's get some new matchups. When did Mir become the UFC's pitbull? Mir all of a sudden has a real big mouth for a guy who just took a beating. Get back to training and to put on a good performance next time out.

5) Sean Salmon admits to throwing a fight. and has the Ohio Athletic Commission looking for answers.

He should be banned for life from MMA. MMA doesn't need this kind of boxing crap. An investigation should be made to see how deep this dive goes.

Don't you think a rematch is the right thing to do? Mir is 1-1 vs the champ and he was the 1st man to ever KO Nog... Can't have Nog fight for the belt 1st.

Actually, no. I don't think either deserves a shot at the belt anytime soon. A rematch only would show how shallow the HW roster is right now (that will change after the TUF season). Wouldn't be a good move IMO. Let Mir and Nog both get a few fights under their belt and if they continue to win, then make it a #1 contender's match which will make it more meaningful.
