Tomorrow night on the Strikeforce card. I believe WWF star Bobby Lashley is also scheduled to fight-if they can find him the right can-er, I mean "opponent"

Herschel is in his mid forties, in great shape, and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I'm sure the promoters will feed him a guy with no ground fighting skills, but should be entertaining.

Are you two planning on watching this??

I plan on catching it tomorrow night somehow if I can, probably after the fights.

Lashley's opponent will be 6'10" Wes Simms. That's a good opponent and test for Lashley.

Walker is going to have a good opponent that will probably beat him IMO. 47 and first time in an MMA ring, I don't think he'll be ready for what he's going to get.

I believe Cyborg is fighting tomorrow as is Lawler. There are some good fights on this card. I'm looking forward to it, just wish it was one of those free SHO weekends.

I have Showtime strictly for the MMA.

Strikefore has been known to feed cans to big names (see Cung Lee), so I don't think Herschel will go up against anyone too good.

Wes Simms was washed up years ago. Annoying as hell on TUF (and lost early on). I hope Lashley pounds him. Strikeforce is going to try to build Lashley into their Brock Lesnar.

Looking forward to the Lawler/Santos fights, and especially the Nick Diaz fight.

BTW-LOOK FOR A PRIVATE MESSAGE. CHECK YOUR PRIVATE MESSAGES ASAP!!!!

I must say upon watching the weigh ins the cyborg fight looks like its going to be intense, as well as the Lawler fight. Herschel Walker impressed me!! He didn't look like 47, he looked about 30. Great shape!

I'm excited about the night of fights. UFC once again counters on SPIKE by giving away for free what they have us fans pay for. That is getting quite annoying as it makes one wonder why even bother to pay for the fights when they'll just be on for free a month or so later.

Good fights. Herschel looked very raw, but for his first match up, he did what he had to do. Nice win.
Lashley looked ok, against Simms who would do better as a pro wrestler at this point in his career.
I am looking forward to Erin Toughill fighting Cyborg.
Manhoef dominated every second of the fight except one and it cost him. Perfect example of why you should never put your hands down, no matter how hurt your opponent seems to be.
Been watching Nick Diaz grow as a fighter for many yrs. He is becoming one of the best WW in the world.

First off, thanks Paulzzy Wink

Sensei, I totally agree with all your comments.

Herschel definitely looked tentative and raw but good for his first fight. The guy he fought looked every bit a 1-1 fighter. Very classy of Herschel to tell the fans not to boo the guys in the cage because they are all trying their best.

Lashley looked good. Did what he had to do. Simms took the fight on 2 weeks notice and seemed it.

Cyborg mauled Marloes. She was stronger than her and while the thinking may have been to get her to the 3rd round where her cardio might be questionable, she got stronger instead. Very impressive win by Cyborg.

Manhoef had Lawler on the ropes... from the waist down. From the waist down, Lawler was done. Unfortunately for Manhoef, that's not where Lawler's moneymaker comes from. Sweet punch and good strategy on Lawler's part knowing that Manhoef lowers his guard when he's trying to finish off someone. Good catch by his camp. Lesson learned for Manhoef. That guy definitely has a future.

Diaz opponent was a champ in Europe but Europe is still behind the US in MMA (although that's changing fast) and he looked it. Diaz' boxing was excellent and it looks to have gotten way better than last time I saw him. He's MMA's best boxer and combine that with his BJJ skills on the ground and he looks to be champ for a long while.

Herschel Walker looked good for a 27 year old-unbelieveable. Completely shredded. His opponent didn't have much to offer though.

Ditto for Wes Simms-he's pretty much a known "can" at this point. Lashley is a long ways from a healthy Brock Lesnar.

Cyborg Santos is and has been a machine-look her up on youtube for some of her earlier fights from Brazil.

As for Nick Diaz-it's only a matter of time before he ends up back in the UFC. He's filling out a bit physically, looked good at 185 vs Frank Shamrock.

You guys ready for UFC 109????

Herschel looked like a 30 year old, not 47. Great shape. Did you hear that Canseco has challenged him to a MMA match? What an attention seeking jerk. I hope they put the match together. Walker has already warned him that he trains seriously. Canseco gasses with celebrity boxing matches. I would love to see Canseco beat to a pulp.

Did you hear that Simms was ring foul sayng that Lashley illegally choked him with a humb to the throat? Yeah, because that's why he lost.

Nick Diaz just needs to fight and shut up. He finally gets a title, doesn't even bother with trying to give the fans a good post-fight interview and then talks about wanting to fight another promotion's champ? Doh
