Also, Thorn said he expects to there to be some major moves around the NBA, possibly involving some of the 2010 free agents. He’s not sure if the Nets can be involved, but said they will continue to be active. Thorn said they’re currently engaged in talks about another deal and would continue as the week goes on. We’re thinking it involves Josh Boone or Tony Battie.
I know Boone isn't anything special but why trade him? He's a solid role player and we probably won't get anything for him. Battie is garbage and I hope they dump him.
I dont know why they want to get rid of Boone to. The only thing i cant stand about his game is his Free Throw shooting, that's his only draw back. Now if they can get a 1st or 2cnd round pick for him then i would do it.
It’s getting hard to keep up. Monday afternoon, Rod Thorn hinted at big moves around the league involving top tier free agents. Now, ESPN’s Chad Ford reports the Nets may be involved in one of those big trades…and that Devin Harris could be the bait. Ford quotes Nets–and Knicks–sources as saying their chances of getting someone in July is increasingly limited so it might be smarter to strike a deal now.
I'm not sure what to think of this rumor. One rumor had it Harris and expiring deals to Toronto for Chris Bosh.
The thinking behind that deal is like what Chad Ford said, anyone who could land Bosh in advance to the 2010 free agency start, will have a major advantage in landing Lebron James. It seems very likely that Bosh will be dealt somwhere.
I've been a big supporter for Devin Harris but I have to admit that if Kidd was still running this team there's no chance we would have such an awful record. Harris just isn't being the difference maker he should be. You can tell when Lopez is out with foul trouble or whatever, the same can't be said about Harris.
Would we miss him running the point? Obviously if we had a guarantee that John Wall would be in a Net uniform next year, this would be a no brainer but doing it now is very risky and Bosh annoys me soometimes.
Getting rid of Devin and an expiring might not be so bad depending on what we get back. Quinn and Dooling run the team well, they don't make bad decisions with the ball.
Brook and Yi are struggling to play together a pure point guard would be the answer.

the Nets might be willing to move Devin Harris, along with an expiring contract or two, if they could land an All-Star and another young asset.
