Wells has potential but I wouldn't give up much to get him. As for the others, no way.
Kip Wells has been terrible this year, awful last year, and just lousy the year before that. I wouldn't trade anyone worthwile and don't see him getting any better in the Mets rotation. I want no part of Livan and his almost 6 era and 8 million dollar salary.
Oddly enough I might trade a loaf of bread for Armas. Less hits than innings pitched consistently despite his 4.35 era.
Ideally, none of the above because all these pitchers are around the same as Trax, which is who they would replace.
If Omar is actually considering the 3 of those pitchers, then why not just let Bannister pitch??? Banny is pitching in a rehab game tonight, so we will see how he progresses.

I thought the whole point of this was to upgrade? Those guys are not an upgrade, but more of a "sidegrade."
exactly...we don't need this type of pitcher and it's not worth giving up prospects for someone who is no better than el duque, maine or pelfrey could be this year.
Don't make a trade just for the hell of it, do it b/c it upgrades the team.
If we are gonnna get a starting pitcher, go get zito, willis, schmidt, etc...if you can't get one of those, than forget about it.
I'll take Livan as long as it is a pure salary dump. Meaning we give up a bat boy, IF THAT to get him. Otherwise I don't have much interest. LOw level minor league player and nothing more.

Pelfry potential or Benson potential?
that is a broad spectrum.
Hard to say since he gets hurt so much although I would say Benson/Maine-type potential at this point. Speaking of Benson, he's having elbow problems again.
