yes i know it means nothing but after not hitting at all in the winter league and after him saying he thought he's the better person to start at center over matthews jr(he's right) it must be real good both on his confidence and his ego(every player needs a little bit of an ego)
now f-mart, take this to the spring and if you're in AAA then tear it up ... but please stay healthy
From what I've read, his .191 season average was compiled over 14 games which would be almost as small a sample as the 9 games in which he hit three eighty something in the Caribbean Series. So, I'm not going to get neither too excited nor to upset. My concern is with his health and potential ego (he ain't Milledge though).
Most people forget he's only what, 21 years old. He played a decent centerfield for us and hopefully he can adjust to major league pitching in the future. He has more talent than anyone else in our system.

as an offensive player that is, because in overall package then it's mejia.
but yeah it's a small sample buta confidence boost is a confidence boost ... and he's also now listed as 200 pounds so he's added 10 pounds of muscle in the offseason.
trade him now while he value is at one of its highest points its been in a while. i know hes so young w tons of talent, but you never know. if the mets can get a solid #2 pitcher, who's young enough to be around for more then 1-2 years, go for it. CF is easier to find then a top of the rotation starter in my opinion. plus this team, as of today, is built to win now.
