Photos taken today from CBS Newsradio chopper,,,,

That field looks awesome with grass,,but will it still be named CItIFIELD in the future, due to todays announcemenet that they're about to lay off 50,000 people,,,

They've already removed the lower level seats at Shea.

i thought the same thing- if i remember correctly the dimensions are basically the same right? oh wait it is because the lower levels are gone - got it

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks to me like the angle of the stands behind both first and third may cause balls hit over the base that normally go to the outfield wall for a Jose Reyes triple may deflect off of those angles and be cut off by infielders holding those hits to singles.

In any case, I can't wait to see a game at the new field.

Nothing is forever. If they cannot pay for or due to their current circumstances are understandably unwilling to spend for the Naming Rights a new Corp will bid for them. I just cannot see "Wells Fargo" atop the new Stadium however! Hopefully it won't be "Potash"(Manure)!!!!
