That field looks awesome with grass,,but will it still be named CItIFIELD in the future, due to todays announcemenet that they're about to lay off 50,000 people,,,
Nothing is forever. If they cannot pay for or due to their current circumstances are understandably unwilling to spend for the Naming Rights a new Corp will bid for them. I just cannot see "Wells Fargo" atop the new Stadium however! Hopefully it won't be "Potash"(Manure)!!!!
Lucky, I'm still holding out for Met Life. It fits.

It's only a rumor, and it hasn't been cofirmed, but I understand that the demolition of Shea Stadium is going to be halted. Seems it's going to be the new corporate headquarters of Citicorp and will be able to house the remaining employees.

Bay Stadium is close to Shea Stadium. Though, Seven seems to have thought it was much funnier than I did. /shrug.

Thanks for putting up the stats for comparison. Shea sure looks bigger in every respect to Citi. Btw, that photo with a hollowed out Shea is sooooo sad to see. Frowner

I totally agree dh. So sad. I was just staring at in imagining where I sat at different times.
It may be nice and it may be home now, but it'll never be Shea.

I can't even enjoy the pics of the grass seeing that Citi logo plastered all over the place.

I hope there are a lot more people as angry as I am about this. There are more things in life then grass on a field people. That is now my/your tax money going into Freds pockets. Sickening.
