In case you missed it, Milledge hit a game winning 2 run homer down by 1 in the 9th with 2 outs tonight. Elijah Dukes, Milledge's good buddy was on 2B at the time of the homer.

As you would expect, Milledge and Dukes did a hand shake at home plate. When Milledge went back to the dugout he got a high five from Acts. When Dukes followed in behind him, Acta didn't even look at him. I'm not sure why. The Pittsburgh announcers speculated it was because Dukes didn't slide into 2B after the double. Dukes then proceeded into the dugout and while Acta's back was turned he quickly slapped him across the back and quickly turned around and gave more high fives. Acta turned around and appeared to try and grab Dukes and you could clearly see he was angry with him. After that, they exchanged some heated words and it looked like they were going to kill each other. You would think a player would have more respect for a manager but after Acta finished yelling at Dukes, Dukes got right back up and in his face nose to nose. What an idiot this Dukes guy is.

Take a look at it yourself. They don't show the arguing but you can see Dukes instigate Manny Acta on his way into the dugout. You'll find the arguing on tv.

mlb gameday

You'll have to go to the video section and click the Milledge 2 run dinger.

Milledge isn't doing that great. 245 with 5 HR's and 25 RBI's is nothing special.

But obviously, with one swing of the bat he accomplished more in the realm of clutch hitting than the majority of our losers have in the last month or so.

Milledge has matured as a Nat and he wants to mature, sad thing is i feel that having Dukes around him will make him do the wrong things.

To hell with Milledge. Get that punk Dukes off that team. He'll never learn. You don't treat your manager like that. What a punk.

All this means is that the Mets are one game
closer to falling into last place .

Which is where a team that plays as poorly as the Mets do deseves to be.
Blown lead loss number 21 !

He hasn't matured. A few weeks ago he was blasted by a well known Nats blogger for showboating around the bases after a home run with his team down in the game aplenty. And those who posted their opinions to that thread, were none too happy about Milledge's behavior on that play and in general.

Dukes is a moron. He may have blown his last chance in the bigs for a long time.

I wonder if the Nats still have option's left on Dukes. If they do, they should bury him in the minors til he learns. Which we all know, he won't change.
