Unite I say, just like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Jimmy Carter, Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Al Franken, Michael Moore, George Soros, & the rest of the Democrats exetended an olive branch to George W. Bush when he was elected. We should give Obama the same chance, the same fairness & the same support that was extended to Bush by the Democrats.
Isn't this what you Obama supporters want? Fair is fair & I'm sure you think that there was nothing unfair about the way Bush was treated by you, the media & the Dems. So Republicans, give Obama the same courtesy, support & fairness that was extended to Bush after he was elected. YES WE CAN! |

And the first move of this new bi-partisan leadership? Boot Lieberman off his chair because he supported mccain.

Don't forget the enforcer and the chief of staff... a man who once sent a rotting fish to someone that got him angry. And who also stood up at a dinner rattling off names yelling out DEAD and stabbing a knife into the table after each name.
Hope and Change folks... enjoy it |

if McCain won and had a guy that stabbed a table multiple times shouting names and then DEAD... what would the reaction be? And try to answer yourself honestly.

As tempting as it may be to do that, I will NOT do that because that would mean that I'm no better than hypocritical attack-dog liberals that we're referring to. I'm going to sit back with an unjaded eye and give Obama his fair chance. We owe him at least that. But I will not be a giving any group hugs or cut him any slack whatsoever. If he does well, I will give him credit where credit is due. If he does badly, I will treat him like a baby treats a diaper. Granted, given his positions and philosophies and the issues both here and abroad, I am not expecting his presidency to be one of success. But we'll see. |

I'm with you Double R. I'm without a doubt going into this with an open mind and giving Obama every chance to prove me wrong. He will be my president and I will support him unlike half of the country after the 2004 election. And should Obama fail i'll let it be known i'm not happy with him but i'll always support him. It was absolutely disgusting, unamerican and pathetic how this country divided under Bush.

How disgusting is that?!! They JUST got done parading around to every news outlet that would listen to them saying how we must put party aside and unite under Obama...So they kick a great man from his chair for supporting McCain...wow that's really an impressive way to start things off. It's funny because Sensei just got done saying how stupid Bush was for using the "your either with us or against us" tactic and it's now being used by our own leaders...that's really something. I really truely despise Reid and Pelosi. Obama has a clean slate with me but these two just continue to look like idiots who don't care about anything but making their party look good. |

Exactly. And the thing that really ticks me off is the fools who actually think it was Bush's fault that country became divided. WRONG! It was the hate-filled morons on the left who made it their personal mission to divide the country by spewing their vitriolic garbage 24/7. And considering that the majority of the news media is in cahoots with the left, of COURSE the country is going to be divied. You can't have a united county when crap like that is going on. |

Yeah it wasn't it great how the speaker of the house called our president "a complete failure" through the media? That really made things better for us. Once again she put party first because she wanted to make him look as bad as possible for the upcoming election. Absolutely pathetic!
When are we gonna get some real leaders for this country? |

The Left does not care about America. They are only interested in power. I feel kind of sad for them because they are a truly pathetic bunch. |

We feel sorry for you too. |

Grote if I remember correctly (which I may be mistaken) but you call yourself an Independent and correct me if i'm wrong but aren't you the one that has a lot of repsect for Joe Lieberman? Assuming i'm remembering correctly don't you think the Democrats just screwed a great man and leader out of his seat because he went against the Democrats? They are the one's making party an issue.
I'm sorry but I don't see any way that dismissing Joe Lieberman helps our cause to get this country back on track. |

ozzman, why don't we wait and see what actually happens to Lieberman before making judgments? I'm a Dem. I very well could have voted rep. in 2000 because I really liked McCain back then and I do vote who I feel is the better candidate but my "great" candidate is possibly the "worst" candidate to someone else. Eye of the beholder type of thing. As far as having respect for Lieberman? For the most part yes but when I disagree with a candidate, even if that person is in the party I prefer, I make a note of it and when that disagreement is about something as serious as war I have to look elsewhere. |
