I'm willing to give the man a chance to turn this thing around. Obama will have his good ideas and his bad. Lets just hope the good out weight the bad

Change - bring integrity and the rule of law back to the White House, and a very deliberative, thoughtful approach to decision-making and openness to the ideas and opinions others from both sides of the aisle.

Regarding tax increase, most working Americans will see tax cuts, or no increase.

Obama has spoken of cutting waste and ineffective programs from defense spending.

It was Barney Frank however who spoke of his own desire for 25% miitary cuts. Obama actually wants to increase the size of the ground forces by 65,000 and the Marines by 27,000 more. He also wants to modernize. His goal is to improve the military, not weaken it.

Obama's team cited McCain's ad stipulating a 25% cut as dishonest.

McCain also wanted to make cuts in wasteful military spending but tried to slime his opponent for the same thing in ads and robocalls.

Here's a link from the conservative Washington Times.

When the Bush tax cuts expire, our taxes will go up 3 to 5 %. The messiah has said he will let them expire. So then how much will he cut them. He has said he will bring them back to the tax level of Clinton. Which will mean it will be a tax increase for most except those at the bottom that pay none.

I don't believe for a minute that we're not going to be hit with some sort of tax. The man walked into a mess at the hands of the other party. Plus he's a liberal. Kind of like the perfect storm for the working man's wallet.

Personally, I think some sort of heavy tax on petroleum products will be in the offing. What, with demand dropping and the subsequent price dropoff it would make political sense if Obama gets his pound of flesh from the pumps under the guise of some sort of "energy conservation surcharge" tagline. You know, stimulate the economy by creating jobs through infrastructure repair and renewel.

Under Cinton, the top tax bracket was 39%. Under Bush, 36% with no guarantee his tax rates would become permanent.

As Obama has said in his campaign, no increase for those making below $250,000. Those earning below $200,000 will see decrease. $200k-250k will hold steady where it is. Obama - 95% of working Americans will either see decrease or no increase.

He said he's going to close corporate tax loopholes, and take away tax breaks for corporations who ship jobs overseas. Invest in infrastructure and alternative energy creating jobs and boosting the economy.
