What do you think of it. Do you think the government should bail out people that have made bad decisions in their lives. Bad mortgage, losing money in the stock market, excessive debt. Should the government bail them out or let them take responsibility for their actions and let them work it out themselves.

For the MOST part people should be held accountable for their own actions. I've tried living within my means and have watched a great deal of neighbors building onto their houses over the last ten years or so and I know damn well that a great deal of them have paid for their extensions via the home equity/second mortgage route. Why the hell should I bail them out while they've been living much more extravagantly than I.
At the same time lets not give the bank et al a free pass on this either. It infuriates me to think I'm bailing out Lehman brothers just so their chief CEO can add to his "golden parachute" with a "golden lifeboat". ALSO remember this with credit card companies and the like, they're sharks that the government won't do much to regulate as far as their sychofant like ways are concerned. Don't you think its just a tad unfair that these scumbags can charge a usurous 29 percent on interest charges while the common slob like you or I would get busted for loan sharking out on the street for similar practices or would even get arrested for scalping baseball tickets for anything over 10 per cent of face value while outside certain stadia.
