He's already hurt and doubtful for the start of the season. Go figure.

Now all we need is for Javier Vazquez to stink up the joint.

BRAIN-Nick Johnson started out with the Yankees, and has been injured ever since. Before Carl Pavano came along, Johnson would easily top anyone's list of most often injured players.

My complaint was signing him in the first place-the guy can hit and get on base, but once he starts things like running the injuries mount.

When it comes to injuries, Nick Johnson makes Carlos Beltran look like Lou Gherig.

Yes that is true .. But ...

The yankees are not going to set back by the loss of Nick Jhonson.
They will simply just bring in another star player to take his place...

My Mets lose Beltran and all they have to bring up Mathews jr or Pagan .

Big diference there.

BTW totally love that icon paulzzy.

Nick is headed to the DL with an injured right wrist, according to ESPN.

And you're correct Brain, it's not going to impact the Yankees as much as the Mets losing Beltran-but I couldn't care less about the Mets, and didn't know everything on the Yankees board was Yankees vs Mets. My bad. Actually, your bad, for being a Mets fan, tough luck.

BTW 2 for 2.

Yes paulzy

Being a Mets I know all about tough luck.

In fact being a Mets fan I wouldn't have even known any other type of luck even exists if it weren't for the fact that the Yankees play in this city too .

I'd feel bad, but I'm a lifelong Rangers/Jets fan as well.

You (Grover) and "Brain" are off base. I never complained about injuries. I complained about signing a guy who has been injured everywhere he's gone his entire career, starting with the Yanks, and guess what? He's injured.

I don't recall El Duque being injured until later in his career. Ditto for Moses Alou.

Johnson has been fragile since day one.

Would you hire an employee whose past employment record showed he regularly averaged 40-50 sick days a year?? Knowing you're going to have to use a subpar replacement? Probably not, unless you're really desperate for help, which the Yanks aren't.

There has never been a general manager of any team or in any sport or any other industry for that matter that has never made a bad signing .

Okay.. Nick johnson was a bad one by Cashman .

Deal with it .

They are still the world champion Yankees .

Every other sports franchise in the world wishes they had the Yankees problems .

^^^^You are completely, utterly obsessed with the Yankees, to an unhealthy degree.

Does EVERYTHING in your life revolve around complaining about the Yankees and their fans?
Are you that pathetic? your posts sure seem to point that way.

Maybe you should stick to your other favorite board-the pro wrestling board, LOL.

Paul

Have I told You that I think Your Nic and icon are way cool ?

Did You know that the iconic Fonzie character was orginally supposed to have a very minor role on Happy Days ? It was supposed to be Richie's brother that was supposed to teach Richie some of the finer things that Daddy "C"
didn't. .

Cool ain't it ?
