Yea, they have all the best players. The big bad Yankees have to feel proud of themselves beating up on a team with less that half their payroll.

The ump might have cost the Twins the game by blowing that foul ball call that Melky couldn't catch up with.

Yes, That was a terrible call and in all likelyhood it did cost the Twins at least one run but face it..
Even if that run had scored the yankees still would have won the game in walkoff fashion.
they always do this season.
I don't gotta like it but i darn sure gotta respect it.

let alone TWENTYsix.

If You're serious about the Brew and the Dog which at the going rate will likely run You about Twelve Dollars count Me in.

Brian you can count on it. So if we are both hanging out on the boards next season, and we can meet at a game. The Brew and Dog is on me. What's a few bucks between enemys in Baseball. But it has to be at the big house in the Bronx, and would be great to see a game between the Yanks and Mets. Cheers

in fact they must be the highest paid stink team in the game.

well, I've been a Yankee fan since 1991 and this season has left a bad taste in my mouth. From the ludicrous spending to the Arod nonsense, the steroids, the new stadium, the solo HRs, Joba this Joba that. When there were talks of us trading for Halladay, I felt sick. Almost literally. It really takes the fun out of sports when you have one bad year(and 89 wins is a good year for 90 percent of other teams) and you go out and spend a half billion dollars on new players, who are then expected to be embraced and treated like part of the team. Now, don't get me wrong, I know changes needed to be made, and I love Texeria and CC has been great, it's just that there's a suave, skilled way to do things(angels, twins, mariners) and I sometimes wish my team wasn't simply exploiting their wealth by feeding off of lesser teams. I once read how the Orioles are the yankees new farm team. It baffles me how people say Cashman has done a good job here. The man has made so many mistakes year after year, and finally struck gold with 2 free agents that were surefire performers. Swisher was a nice acquisition, but what of Kei Igawa, Kevin Brown, Carl Pavano, Jaret Wright, Randy Johnson, Kyle Farnsworth, etc?

In short, I am still rooting for the team, but I'd be lying if I said I was doing it with the joy that I rooted for the Tino, paul, and Scott teams. Sometimes, less is more.

You are an example of what I am talking about when I call many Yankees fans cry baby sore winners .

All the yankees do is win, win, win, and win
all You do is find reason to cry, cry, cry, and cry.

Stop whining and complianing .
Enjoy and marvel at your team's
unmatched success .

You fret and sweat about the Yankees ?
What in the world would You do if You were a passionate fan of another team ?

Lets see when they go up 3-0 they don't turn into the 2004 version.

But with the umps in their pockets it should be a lot easier.I hope so,I've made a killing on your team so far.Let's go Skankees!
