putting jeter and damon at 1-2 in the lineup instead of the other way around has been a hugely successful and underrated move in my opinion. jeter has one of his best offensive seasons and brought a ton of consistency to the leadoff spot. how many times in the playoffs alone has he led off a game with a hit and immediately started making things happen? and damon makes more sense in the 2-hole in general. great idea, joe g. questions now is, do you keep damon next year??

Good point TonyD . Jeter and Damon give the Yankees an 1-2 punch that is unequaled in MLB . In My opinion I do think the Yankees should sign Damon for next season . He is atill a ery talanted player and his hard going syle and edgy play makes Him fun to watch wether You are a Yankees fan or not.
Guys, I have said this for a few years. This stems back to when Mattingly batted behind Ricky Henderson: -speed, stolen base potential, ability to go from first to third....on first base. -lefty hitter up, will see more fast*****, firstbaseman will hold runner at base opening up the right side of the infield. Unfortunately, Torre was not creative, nor an historian. BTW, Great parade...
Hey guys yes it was a glorious parade.I wasn't able to watch the city hall part though.I wanted the swish to give a speach cause he's always fun to listen to.did he do one ?
