Ken Rosenthal

It looks more and more like Moose will not be back next season and it doesn't look like he will sign elsewhere, either.

Update: Kevin Davidoff

Davidoff says it would be a "shocker" if Moose returns next year.

George King III

Another up-date: Arn Tellem, Moose's agent, will travel to Montoursville, PA, Moose's home, to speak with the 40 year old righty later this week about his future. It's likely that Moose will file for free agency after the World Series, if only to keep his options open.

Tellem also spoke about another of his clients, Jason Giambi, and said he would like to remain a Yankee.

King remarks that the Yankees haven't been "wild" about chasing Mark Teixeria but that could change.

Mussina Decision to Come Early Next Week

He will decide whether he wants to play in 2009 or not. The smart money is on "no". The Yankees are his preference if he does come back.
