Sorry if this topic has already been discussed but when David Letterman commented on his late night show that A-Rod had sex with Sarah Palin's 14 year old daughter during the 7th inning stretch, A-Rod should have spoken out against Letterman but by not saying anything just proves that A-Rod is not only a phony but has no shame and decency to speak out against this sick and inappropriate comment by Letterman.
In essence David (low-class) Letterman told his audience that A-Rod committed statutory rape with a 14 yr old girl. Now I realize that the left in this country despises Sarah Palin but to stoop this low is just another example of how journalism in this country is dead and that it's always open season on conservatives especially when they express a point of view publicly. The mainstream media in this country do not like her point of view and they're scared to death of her - and don't think for a second that's inaccurate because we all know that if Palin was a stupid ***** as the left would like us to believe then they wouldn't be attacking her like they do on a daily basis. The left in this country fear Sarah because she speaks from the heart. Agree or disagree with her, you know where she stands. Don't cut her down to size because you don't agree with her. Can you just imagine if the target of that sick joke was aimed at Barack Obama's under age daugther and Rush Limbaugh or Michael Savage told the joke. We'd never hear the end of it from the ACLU, NOW, the mainstream media and every left wing organization in site. Sorry for getting off on a tanget. For every time A-Rod opens up his stupid pie hole this time he stays silent when he should have spoken out. I'd really like to know how the rest of you feel about this because, although I feel A-Rod should have broken his silence, this story is much bigger than A-Rod. Why the hell do we stand for this double standard today? I'll tell you why - because political correctness is slowly destroying this country. When it's ok for liberals to spew hate and venom toward conservatives but not acceptable for conservatives to trash liberals you no longer have a a free country. As long as liberals continue to stomp on the constitution this country is headed toward our version of the Roman Empire. The constitution was not created to defend safe, innocent and polite speech. I don't recall who said it but someone of the liberal persuasion was once quoted "I disagree with what you say but I will defend to the death your right to say it" Unfortunately, this belief doesn't apply today. When MSNBC spends days talking about the guy who killed the abortion doctor but barely cover the story about the Muslim who killed one of our servicemen the country is heading toward the path of Sodom and Gamora. But the American people are finally waking up and making themselves heard no matter how hard the left in this country is working toward silencing every conservative voice. Is it any wonder why every major left wing newspaper in this country has gone bankrupt or is headed in that direction? Is it any wonder why Fox News Channel is always on top? Is it any wonder why Fox News Channel beats MSNBC and CNN in the ratings? Fox beats the two combined by a long shot. Is it any wonder why Conservative Talk Radio is so popular and continues to grow and Liberal Talk Radio is a failure? When was the last time you heard a liberal talk show on the radio and if you did it was a flash in the pan. |

Did yiu bother watching David Letterman's 7-plus minute response to the accusations? He acknowledges some of the things said were distasteful, but also that he NEVER referenced a 14 y.o. Bristol with AROD. Feel free to use the general message board on MSG to post whatever you want. But as Lucky notes, this Mets board isn't the proper place for political rants. |

Carter they are right that this is the wrong part of the forum for this. But I do agree with your views.
And it always seems that when someone speaks their conservative views right away they are a sheep that blindly follows Rush or Hannity. But they can spew their liberal views when ever they see fit. Tolerance he spoke of Palins daughter and Arod. I don't care how old your daughter is he should never have said that. It was distasteful. It was distasteful and he acknowledged that in another show in which he also read the letter Palin wrote as well as transscript of what he said that prompted it. He also made clear he did not reference AROD with Bristol as 14-year old but rather, as adult. I agree that whatever the age, it was very inappropriate, joke or otherwise, and he acknowledged that as well. |

I think that the peroxide slop that the 62-year-old David Letterman uses on his rapidly thinning head of hair, has finally seeped down into his "brain."  By the way, I don't want to say that David Letterman was hit by the ugly stick, but HE even makes former Cleveland Indian pitcher Don "The Sphinx" Mossi look like Marcello Mastroianni by comparison!   And, if that old curmudgeon, Don Imus, was rightly fired for making his all-too-offensive and insulting remarks about the members of the women's Rutgers University basketball team, then horse-faced David Letterman should also be given the heave-ho for his incredibly crude and vulgar comment about Gov. Palin's 14-year-old daughter. He didn't refer to either daughter specifically. He just said her daughter. From what I read, she was at the game with her 14 year old daugher at that time. I'm surprised that you're sticking up for him Tol. Children of politicians have traditionally been off limits, and with good reason. No one should make jokes about Obama's kids, or anyone else's for that matter. There's really no place for that kind of humor, no matter which side of the political spectrum you're on. |

Politically,and I will be short out of respect for the purpose of this Board,the largest issue this nation has is Polarism!! If you are a 'Conservative' 'Liberals' s-u-ck!!!
