That's it. Utah is #1. 13-0. Beat the team that beat USC. Won at Michigan and now they beat Alabama AND are undefeated.
I just wish that the Div-1 rulers would just man-up and say it: We won't have a playoff in NCAA Div-1 football because of, and ONLY because of THE MONEY. Not the final exams, or the tradition. JUST THE MONEY.
Div-2 and Div-3 have playoffs. Baseball has the College World Series. Basketball and Hockey have tournements leading to the Final and Frozen Four.
But if you are a Div-1 college football fan, you will always be robbed by deep-pocketed liars who run the colleges and conferences and NOT have a playoff.
I hope that after the Florida-Oklahoma game, the AP has Utah as #1.

While I understand your argument, I don't see how Utah should be the undisputed #1 team. Stanford and Oregon also beat the team that beat USC and Michigan was terrible this year.

The beating they put on Bama is impressive but part of Utah being undefeated is the conference they play in.

I agree the system doesn't give a true #1 team however and the reason is money.

I also agree that the system is a load of crap, but I'm tired of people crying about it. If everyone is so sick of the BCS like I keep hearing, then the solution is very simple.

Stop watching college football, stop supporting the sponsers of it.

If that happens, then college football will start a playoff system.

People need to stop crying and take some responsibility.

I love it and I'll never stop watching it.

I think the old system was actually better, where there was no "championship" game.

I don't know if I'm in favor of a playoff anyway. If someone can give me a fair system that preserves the conferences, tradition and rivalries (what college football is built on), I'll listen.
