CHICAGO (AP) -- Longtime Chicago Cubs analyst Steve Stone announced Thursday he was leaving WGN-TV, less than one month after coming under fire for on-air comments he made criticizing the team.

This is a stupid move. Just because an announcer tells the truth doesn't mean you have to fire or in this case re-sign.

He showed a lot of guts bashing Baker and the Cubs. I hope he gets a job with another team. He's ok as a broadcaster, but I've gained a lot of respect for him as a person.
