Air Force Academy improves to 8-3 and beats Notre Dame 41-24. First time Notre Dame has lost to two service Academies in the same year since 1944.

Very fitting that Air Force wins before Veterans Day. Being in Air Force ROTC, the Academy and ROTC grads bust each other's chops but same team same fight and the boys in blue made me proud.

Air Force improves to 8-3 and somehow they may not make a bowl game? Absurd!

Even though I'm not into college sports, I ALWAYS root for our military teams. I love the fact that Navy and Air Force both beat Notre Dame this year. How sweet it is!

I always root against Notre Dame, so to watch them lose to service academies is just the greatest thing imaginable!

Two things on Notre Dame:

1) Weis's best teams were while coaching Ty Willingham's recruits;
2) Weis has been a recruiting guru, bringing in top recruiting classes every year he's been there. With Ty Willingham's solid players and his own top class players, how can his team lose to some of these teams?

Weis, as is the norm when it comes to ND, has been exposed as being incredibly overrated.

Those shiny golden helmets sure do have a way of blinding people in the media.

Maybe Weis is over-rated. We'll see. But the moans and groans about Willingham fail to mention that he is all but out the door in Washington. Mora, as he petioned last year, might be getting his seat as the Huskies have not 'been all that' under Ty.
With Weis' long contract, I assume that ND will give him some more time. And as a long time ND fan (since Hanratty QB'd before Theismann), this season has been...well...I can't find a negative enough word.
