Well, obviously Voros hasn't had a lot of experience fighting goaltenders, and Smith took him by surprise, otherwise Aaron would have reacted differently. The key to fighting a goalie is: the first thing you have to do is rip the helmet off his head, and I can show him how to do it. Just grab it under the chin and yank it straight up, it isn't held on by a chin strap. If his ears and/or nose get ripped off as well, so be it...

I remember one time early in the Islanders' infancy, the Minnesota North Stars' Dennis Hextall chopped at the glove hand of Isle's goalie Gerry Desjardins as he covered the puck. Angered, an irate Desjardins jumped up and lunged at Hextall, shoving him back with both hands. Hextall immediately came up with the blade of his stick and speared Desjardins under the face mask, directly in the throat. Desjardins clutched at his injured throat and dropped to the ice, rolling around while trying to regain his breath. It was a scary moment and if I recall correctly, Desjardins required medical attention and was taken to the hospital, and Hextall received a game misconduct...
