tampa is D.E.A.D

how long have they stayed at 86 pts? i mean seriously. In they're last 2 games they have been outscored 12-4 < DING! they have poor goaltending and 2 offensive guys cant make a team win the cup...they shouldnt even be in the playoffs to begin with.

Carolina is also down the drain , they have been outscored 11-2 in they're last 2 games.

Islanders can still do something about it

with a win tonight(vs the best team in the league , ouch ) and a loss for TB it will be a 4 way tie at 86 pts for 7%8th

Geez, any of the teams that have hit bottom lately can turn it around fast. I'm not counting anyone out. When I see a team 4points out of a playoff berth with two games to go, then I will start making predictions.

Tampa has hit ROCK BOTTOM and with only 5 games left in the regular season they dont have time to recooperate.

Hee, IceCold just wanted Carolina to win so that we would stay in 6th but he wasn't looking at the big picture .. we have a game in hand on Tampa and they just moved 1 point ahead so it was good that Tampa won .. between Tampa and Carolina then the 'Canes are the bigger sinking ship due to their lack of scoring and shaky goaltending .. Tampa, at least, can score

oh yea games in hand totally help 100% of the time...i mean just look at the islanders tonight Thumbs Up

there is a good side to +1 game than the opposition and there is a bad side.

the good side is you can collect more points
the bad side is if u lose ur giving out more.

and in anyway i want tampa out and carolina in...tampa always sneaks into the playoffs and gets eliminated first round every damn year...last year ottowa...this year buffalo/nj/atlanta?

Gotta represent my favourite player here, lets face it Canes miss Matt Cullen and that is why their PP has ****ed so much this season....Staal is doing much worse since he left the team, and Cullen played with him for most of 2005-06. Also they haven't even won a shootout game, Culley was their main guy, their loss = Rangers gain.

Isn't it something though ... his little brother, Jordan, is doing better than him ... in the goal scoring department ... lol about missing Matt, they most likely do but their goaltending hasn't been as reliable as last season
