Also they haven't even won a shootout game, Culley was their main guy, their loss = Rangers gain.

Isn't it something though ... his little brother, Jordan, is doing better than him ... in the goal scoring department ... lol about missing Matt, they most likely do but their goaltending hasn't been as reliable as last season

Well the cullen thing I wasn't that serious about. I'm sure they'd really like the whole stanley cup team back healthy(except gerber). In terms of Jordan Staal, that kid was supposed to go back to the junior as soon as he started to stop scoring, but he never did, so they had to keep him. Unfortunately, he took some of that motivation to stay in the NHL out on the Rangers with some nice shorthanded goals.

You know IceCold are you sure it's just your extended family that roots for the Isles? Seriously, it's like you really want them to do well and get in the playoffs ... I for one will laugh all the way to the post season *fingers crossed* if they are eliminated ... Normally I do agree that having all three area teams in the playoffs is a good thing but the Islanders with their whinning about the Simon incident by Simon, Witt and Nolan really deserve all that is happening to them ...

Now the Senators will NOT take a night off now .. they are fighting for home ice in round 1 and they need to keep winning in order to secure it since they are tied with NJD and PIT in points ... so they cannot let up now ... No way

Dude, just because the Isles make the playoffs doesn't mean that we will get payback .. for one they will probably be 8th if they get in and it's highly doubtful that they will advance to round 2 ... and for us to meet it would have to be round 3 due to the seeding

i just can't root for them in any capacity ... it's why, even though I would love payback against NJ over last year's playoff sweep by us, hopefully, meeting them in round 2 and beating them ... I will be EXTREMELY giddy if they are blown away in round 1 by whomever they play

yeah I see your point, and believe me the only reason I want the Isles in is for payback but seeing as how we won't meet up untill round 3 or so. with that said I'll forget about payback for this year with the Isles and just look forward to Rangers playoff Hockey Thumbs Up

Lucky for me we don't depend on them winning for us to make the playoffs ... the only team that affect us that they play in the next 5, besides their game with us, is the Leafs and because the Leafs are behind us it won't affect us specially if Toronto losses tonight and tomorrow Big Grin

Who said anything about depending on NJ?

Toronto faces PIT tonight and NJ is not playing .. tomorrow WE face Toronto ... again, is about US not them ...

If you don't care what the Islanders do in the playoffs why do you want them to be in them so badly ? Confused
