KC, tell the truth, when you go on vacation do you look up in the obituaries to see who died in the area so you can visit the funeral. Because you are nothing but doom and gloom on just about every positive subject that comes up for the Rangers.

That clause in his contract should put everyone's mind at ease. If he's hurt his salary won't count against our cap and if he's healthy, he'll be underpaid for what he's capable of doing.

Oh yeah. I already said I wasn't completely sold on Gaborik but case in point if he is healthy (the rangers medical stuff checked out everything and says he is) we have a top 5 player on our hands. This isn't Gomez or Drury getting paid 7-8 mil and not being worth it

Ok, so after thinking about this more. I still think it's a poor move, but not nearly as bad as I thought it was. As long as that LTI rule holds up and is not impossible to enforce, then I am not so angry w/ the signing. I still believe w/ a 7.5 mil a year deal, we could have eventually grabbed someone who is a goal scorer and a bit more reliable health wise. When I think about it, I feel like Sather probably tried all he could to get Heatley, but Sens would not want to trade him to some team in the East? I just wish he took the other road he rarely travels, which is to not sign anyone, and let the team be, or use the money a little more wisely. However, this is the New York Rangers, so as fans, we demand results year after year. So really, nothing surprises me. Just a big disappointed.

Sather had docs check out his health and how the surgery went before he signed him,he also sent a tape on how the conditioning would be with torts,gaborik knew what he was getting into when he signed.
