RZ, I am not going to go on a witch hunt like Paulzy did, but I will just give you one Idea of what I was talking about:
This was my answer to KC, when It posted on the board that my post was un true. A nice way of saying I am a liar.

Just so everyone can see once again, that you talk out of your Back Side KC, and you research nothing before you open your big mouth as usual.
In the Thread about Gomez and Drury, I mentioned about the leagues Salary restrictions for players and said it was something like 7 mil when the new rules went into effect. And BTW, I said I think it was 7 mil. But there is in fact a limit to how much you can offer a free agent, which prevents Bidding wars as in the past.

But of course you just as much called me a liar and this is what you said:

(Quote from KC to my post)
Your story about the 7million limit isn't true.

Now this is direct from the NHL rules on the Salary Restrictions put into effect:

No player can earn more than 20 percent of the team salary cap. In 2005-06, that means a maximum individual salary of about $7.4-$7.8 million.

Like I said with my answer to you in the Gomez Drury Thread.

This is just one of many RZ. But Like I said I am not going to go back on a witch hunt, so I will leave at this.

I think RZ needs to back off. If you want to join the fray then do it the right way. Picking sides and piling on is wimpish.

Join the fray? I've been posting here since before the lockout. I think my views on certain things are somewhat established here. Besides, there's nothing wrong with provoking arguments during the offseason. This is the most interesting these boards have been in months.

Tony, since you insist on being dense on this topic, I'll go over it one more time. The comment you had made was that players were getting offered max contracts, and were just able to pick the team they wanted to play for. You wrote about this in a thread referencing the money Drury and Gomez make, you used the 7 million number. The Cap was 50 million the year they signed, 20% of that would be a 10 million salary. The max contract thing was never part of the Drury or Gomez contracts, and has NEVER come up in negotiations with any NHL free agent. If you're going to try to play "gotcha" with me, you're going to have to do better than that.

I don't think our latest combatants need any coaxing, but if you it makes you feel good to egg them on then its none of my business to try and stop you.

Don't call out people as dense when you can't even grow the cajones to admit your own dumb mistakes.

I did this just for RZ since he likes drama so much Juggle

Again KC, you quote me wrong. Yes I posted that subject on the Drury Gomez Thread. But it had nothing to do with what they were offered. We were talking signings of free agents. And I brought up the fact that there is a limit to how much you can offer a free agent in today’s market, and it was hard to have bidding wars anymore. And then I said the NHL had a new rule with a limit to how much you can offer a Free Agent.

As as I posted again, and again, and again, and again, I said it was something like 7 mil. That’s when you came back with your Dense answer that it was un true. So I posted the NHL Rule for you which stated it was in the 7 mil range. And now you are still trying to put a spin on the subject instead of admitting you were wrong. Blah

So what is it that you don’t understand KC, do I need to send you a follow the bouncing ball message for you to get it. Bounce

And I agree with everyone else here, “Lets Get Ready to Rumble” Boxing
Because you are easy KC RIP

I'm tired of looking at this thread title. Sather is NOT a genius. He's a moron. His biggest failure as a GM is his dumb and shortsighted free agent signings, yet here he is AGAIN building a team through free agency. A semi-smart person would learn from his mistakes. Sather obviously hasn't, therefore he's a moron.

He's not a genius, he's a "genious".

Since his arrival in 2000, we've made the playoffs 4 times, twice getting bumped in the first round.
He's on coach #5 (Low,Trottier,Slats himself, Renney, and now Tortolini).
He's on Sports Illustrated's top 25 list of worst free agent signings 5 TIMES (Drury, Gomez, Reden, Holik, Kasparitis).
The drafting is O.K. (Cally, Dubi, Korpi, etc.) but outside of Avery for ????, has he made any good trades?

And finally, let's face it-Take away the pure luck drafting of Lundquivst and odds are we'd have a different G.M., because Henrik is the main reason we've made it into the playoffs these past few years. Not Sather.

Good points, especially about Hank.
I disagree, though, about Kaspar. I thought he played really well here for the most part.
I liked him very much.
