I agree with you. As much as I want to see Sundin playing for the Rangers he has become old news. I getting tired of hearing about him anymore. Sh"t or get off the pot. He had plenty of time to make a decision. Shanny on the other hand doesn't need any time. Sather can pretty much offer him any amount and Shanny would probably jump on it because.....HE WANTS TO REMAIN A RANGER. That's the kind of spirit we need on this team. He might not be as fast as he used but the guy can still contribute there's no doubt in my mind. And let's not forget the veteran leadership that he provides. That is very vital to have for a team. I don't know why Sather hasn't turned the page on Sundin yet. He might be working on something totally unexpected. A trade from out of no where. Only Sather knows.

Since Sundin has basically said that he is not making a decision any time soon I think that the Rangers should offer Shanny around $1 million or so & play him on the 3rd line & the 2nd PP unit. If Mats ever decides what he is doing & is still interested in the Rangers they can still look at him at that point since he would count less against the cap & who knows what injuries we could have that could also give us some cap relief.

Last time people interviewed sundin he was hinting it was down to montreal or toronto(toronto being the #1 choice)
maybe this means shanny can stop waitig for 2months now.
