This is a game I've been looking forward to for a long time. I'm taking off from work tonight so I can sit home with my younger sons and watch the game live. The VCR will be taping the game as well, and a friend will be recording the game on DVD. You see, my oldest son is currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego, and he will be attending the game. He will be sitting directly behind the Kings' bench, wearing a blue Rangers' Avery jersey. Look for him! The Kings return home after a successful 5 game road trip, during which they went a perfect 5-0, defeating the Red Wings, Maple Leafs, Blue Jackets, Bruins and Devils; and are currently riding a 6 game winning streak. In their last game Sunday vs. the Devils at the Prudential Center, the Kings fell behind 2-0 before a goal in the 2nd period by Michal Handzus closed the gap to 2-1. The Kings' Wayne Simmonds and Drew Doughty then scored 2 late goals against Martin Brodeur in the final 1:46 of the third period to complete a stunning comeback and defeat the Devils 3-2. The Rangers come into Los Angeles following a 3-1 win in Denver over the Avalanche, a game in which Marian Gaborik scored all 3 Rangers goals, recording the first hat trick by a Ranger this season. Goaltender Henrik Lundqvist has missed the first 2 games of the 3 game western road trip due to illness. The Rangers are 3-7-1 in their last 11 games and should have 2 new faces in the lineup, having traded forwards Christopher Higgins and Ales Kotalik to the Calgary Flames in exchange for forwards Olli Jokinen and Brandon Prust. Key players to watch on the Kings: forwards Anze Kopitar, captain Dustin Brown, Jarret Stoll, Ryan Smyth, Alexander Frolov, Simmonds and Handzus; defensemen Jack Johnson, Rob Scuderi, Matt Greene and Doughty; goaltender Jonathan Quick. Head coach: Terry Murray.

hopefully we dont plan on them being sluggish and get off to a slow start. i think the trade will give us some energy and we will win tonight
almost game time can't wait at least we don't have to listen to sam and al talk about how great higgens is playing with out scoring any goals do you think the rangers will try what they did on there first power play in the last game 5 fowards on the power play
I can see my son and his wife on TV, they're sitting next to the Kings' bench, right at the red line between the benches. Look for a blue Rangers jersey behind the glass at center ice- great seats!
