I don't blame the guy. I have come to the conclusion that the Sundin is probably not going to sign with anyone this year. The Rangers should just forget about him and move on. It has gone on way to long. If there are other deals out there to improve our team they should look into them. If they sign Shanny so be it. I would be happy for him, at least he wants to play for the Rangers even at a limited role. Unfortunately I don't think Sather really wants him anymore. IMO I think he will end up playing for JD in St Louis.
I wish Shanahan all the best no matter where he ends up, but the Rangers are correct in moving on without him. As far as Sundin goes, I'm sick and tired of hearing his name. I don't want him here and I never did. I hope he retires so that all of the endless speculation will finally come to a merciful end.
What bothers me is if there is any truth to the fact that Sather has indicated that he would like Shanny to play for him, but no offer has been put on the table then that is just plain disrespectful. We are talking about a man with a family who has put in 20 years of service to the NHL. I know its a business. Players make tons of money and because of such they are treated like pawns. Shanny obviously can't wait much longer, but I feel Sather has crossed that line and I don't like it one bit.

I wish Shanny all the best, I mean this guy is a class act on and off the ice. Whatever happens with Shanny I will still root for the guy(unless his team is playing the boys in blue )
Maybe Sather does want Shanny back. But we don't have the Cap Room and the CBA agreement on players getting bonuses added to the following year ended. Sather probaly failed to make a trade, I mean who wants Prucha the way his stock has dropped.
Theres more to everything than we know. Maybe Sather is lying (prolly) maybe he isn't. He's not exactly a person who knows how to do classy moves (Leetch trade).
Purely speculation on my part, but I can't possibly see Shanny waiting this long on Sather. There has to be a deal in place or he would have signed elsewhere by now.
