It wasn't a "lost game", in my opinion.
The night before, the Devils came back VERY late in the 3rd to beat Toronto. The game winner was scored with 24 seconds (if I recall). So the probability of them coming back against the Rangers was low, yes. But...with that late win fresh in their minds, they would've made a very strong push to get those goals against the Rangers. And as we know, the Rangers fold easily quite often when their opponents decide to impose their will. So, from that point of view...I think it was a selfish move to attack Sean. However, from a personal standpoint...I like that he did it, though. I want to see more passion and intensity and personality in the game. |

I don't buy any of the baloney in regards to Orr's departure-Slats fell asleep at the wheel, Burke saw an upcoming heavy willing to go with anyone, and the rest is history. The stuff about Torts not wanting Orr and Brashear being a better skater was just for Sather to cover his ****. |
