The last thing I want to have happen is an announcement that the lockout has been settled and games will begin 1-10-13. First thought will be once the news comes in about the terms, " And you couldn't do this in October?"

if they make a deal in the near future, there is no doubt in my mind that they will play the winter classic. This is just a negotiating ploy, i hope.

The NHL can only blame itself, last year Hockey was gaining popularity beyond just us die hard fans. Now we face our 3rd lockout under Bettman with little to no end in sight. The NHL wonders why Hockey isn't as popular as the three other major sports its because just when we start to gain even the smallest ounce of positive recognition we end up locked out of the sport. Both the owners and players are to blame and the only ones who really suffer are us fans. If/when we get a new CBA they better not put something stupid like that "thank you fans" slogan they had at the end of our last lock out because its crystal clear the NHL didn't give two dams about us fans.

1940, I have to give you credit for stating what some are thinking. I have some Jewish blood in me, but I also have a sense of humor.
I do think many have it in for bettman because he is jewish. I take comments like those with a grain in salt. I have been told I have been cheap for a long time, but I don't take it as a racial comment. It's funny too me. How I long for the ole days when we didn't think comments like those made you out to be a racist.

Thanks for understanding and support. My remark was made partly in jest, partly in truth (the 'lawyer' part), partly because of my dislike for Gary Bettman in general, but entirely out of frustration. I miss my beloved sport of hockey.

Just wondering, in the NHL are there more finger lickin' fried chicken eatin' players than those who don't mix milk and meat?

I am 100 percent against persecuting or prosecuting anyone for politically incorrect humor as well as "hate crimes"-I hate ******** regardless of their color, religion, etc.

Anyone with the grand idea of expanding the NHL to the sun baked, PBR drinking, sister banging, cowboy hatted dirt farmers down south/out west fits the bill.
