As bad as the early effort was tonight, this team still played with guile and effort tonight. They're not gonna win every game. At least when this team is down, they don't play on the perimeter, looking for finese goals. They play hard and drive hard. That's more than we can say of the European style teams that have played at the Garden recently!!

Our forwards are not back checking like they did to start the season and our defensemen are being exposed.

I thought Valiquette played OUTSTANDING coming in cold off the bench in a blowout, and not having played since November 1, which was the game the Rangers suffered a third period meltdown vs. the Maple Leafs in Toronto, giving up 5 goals in the final 7 minutes. Yeah, definitely guys - Vali should get the start. He's big and strong (he can handle the rough stuff), Hank needs a break, and it's time for the team to wake the f**k up and start supporting the stellar play of their goalies. Vali starting on Saturday might spark them to pick up their game.
