my first game thread. 4 games to go till the olympic break. we need to get some Ws here and go into break with some momentum. I hope the rangers are as excited for this game as I am.

Did anyone hear Mike Knuble's comments about his line the other night?

He basically said they're playing really well because the coach keeps them together, giving the players the chance to get to know their tendencies.

I have a feeling Torts actually doesn't understand that. He thinks it's all about getting the puck and rushing up ice. It's very one-dimensional. Yes, that's a PART of it. But as Knuble said, when you keep the guys together, other abilities develop to sense each other and to know what the linemates are going to do. It seems thus far, Torts pays ZERO attention to that reality...and that possibility.
