Major Leagues |
I know we don't have many who join in on this blog. What's worse is that 1/2 of our bloggers live outside the metro area and don't get to see many of the games. But tonight at MSG, it was pretty good OT win.
Three stars: Okposo Dubinksy Sutton What a difference Sutton makes when healthy. Now I'm not so sure if moving him and/or Witt at the deadline would be a good idea. Again, I don't want to get caught up with competing for a playoff spot vs 2010 Draft Party, but if we are going to keep a few vets around, these two on D must stay. |

A quote from Jay Greenburg, Sunday's NY Post:
******************************************* Okposo last night went from Point A to Point B even faster than Mike Milbury could make a bad trade. Played with a nose harder than an Islander fan's skin after hanging in there for all these years with few rewards like last night's. Hard work inevitably pays off. Okposo, painstaking painting a rainbow, found his pot of gold. With a few more of him, so finally may a beleaguered franchise |

REEEEEALLY impressed with Okposo on Sat. against Rangers. Would like to see more goal scoring out of him but can't complain about other aspects of his game.
A nice building block. |

I'm going to keep an even keel on this squad. Games like Sunday, with some more scoring, would be to my liking. Juuuuust good enough to lose and get a higher pick in June and maybe parlay one of our two goalies for a one if we can find a team who only needs a goalie to make a serious run. |
