USC vs. Oklahoma: Must See TV!! Blake Griffin vs. Taj Gibson

This should be a good test for Blake. Gibson is a tough Brooklyn boy, that u know is looking forward to this matchup. Im definelty watchin this one.

If we can't get Griffin or a great guard in the draft, Gibson is not a bad consolation prize.

The kid plays hard, plays tough defense, has great speed, athleticism, has a ready made NBA body with good size @ 6'4, and most importantly has great leadership skills. The team definitely feeds off of him already, which is rare for a freshman PG.

He reminds me a little bit of Russell Westbrook and Javaris Crittenton.

How is it you haven't praised Duke's Kyle Singler,Guy? Although he can jump,run the floor,handle the ball,rebound, drive to the hoop and shoot the lights out from the perimeter,his best attribute is his amazing Court sense. Now a soph.,he is still filling out his 6'8" 220 lb frame and is already stronger than last season.

Really? He started and was Duke's best player as a freshman. The kid reminds me of a bigger version of John Havlicek. His smarts and energy levels are remarkable. I think you will enjoy his play. Being a Duke fan for the past 45 years,I don't think I have seen a better foward there. Jack Marin,Grant Hill and,Shane Battier amongst other were great,but they don't have it over this kid. Keep an eye on Gerald Henderson(You remember his dad,I'm sure)and John Scheyer also. Henderson may be a tweener,but has extraordinary all around ability and Scheyer,who is easy to miscalculate and stereotype as a slow jump shooting Rick Mount,is anything but. He is a brilliant kid who not only can shoot,but has a knack finding every nook and cranny on the floor when driving the lane. He has considerably more mobility than JJ Redick,but has the same feathery touch from the floor and the foul line. Need I say,all of these kids play relentless defense. Their footwork,balance and fundementals are textbook. Very much UnKnick like. Perhaps ex Blue Devil Duhon is a sign of change at the Garden.

Next game for Duke isn't until Sat Dec 6th at Michigan(They beat the Wolverines at Cameron Indoor last month)3:30 on ESPN.
