Looks like Rubio is stayin put. From Yahoo.

"Timberwolves officials are thus far resisting the advances of the Knicks and the wishes of the player’s agent and insisting that Rubio will stay in Minnesota."

ESPN just said we picked up Darko for Q-Rich.

Does anyone know anything about this Toney Douglas guy?

Darko Milicic and Jordan Hill can block shots. Whoa!! The Knicks may not be last in blocked shots anymore.

Douglas looks like a good pick at 29. The guy averaged 21.5 PPG

douglas is a good player. a combo guard, slasher type, can create shots, can run some pg, but isnt a true pg. better set for coming off the bench. i really hope there's a deal for some pg somewhere. with the addition of hill, id assume lee is gone, please please please, sign and trade for a capable pg, please!

Douglas is crazy fast/strong and can score. Definitely not a PG though. He has a long, awkward delivery but makes up for it with his quickness. Pretty good pick for #29.

hoping he turns out a lot better then strickland....i dont remember specific stats etc, but i do recall douglas being a key factor in a few of the FSU upsets in the ACC the past couple of seasons. Clearly, he will not be a superstar, immediately at least, but with hughes ' contract ending this year, and nate probably gone, douglas adds depth and athleticism which should be productive in d anotini's system. maybe another wilson chandler type of guy?

I wonder if Knicks can do some player deal or
future picks to Wolves for Ty Lawson

Rumor is Wolves wont keep all their picks
from 1st round and although I liked what NYK
did tonite Lawson would be a great knick and
tough as nails just what we need, tough team
tough town and tough to be guys

Strickland was very atheletic when healthy
and a good guard on good team not so so teams
like he was on knicks.

He was no easy go on Defense and though Eric
may not have been a good knick its players
like this NY needs. Eric wasnt soft

We still need to shed soft image and get like
old knicks. Its only way to play in ny and win

Interesting quote over at ZagsBlog from Mike D’Antoni on Hill:
“Our scouts had him rated as the second best player in the draft,” Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni said, according to the News. “I don’t want to get ahead of myself but I think he can be a really good player. He’s long. He can really run the floor. He’s got range and he can block shots.”

Knicks fans are gonna regret booing Jordan Hill. He's the 2nd best big man in the draft. A very good 2 way player, who's tough, athletic, long, and plays extremely hard.

I'm very happy with this pick.

IMO he's a top 3 talent. With him you know what you're getting. He's at the very least, a double double guy who's gonna play good D and block a few shots a night.

He's exactly what he need.

Tommy Dee needs to quit with this Rubio obsession already. He's getting ridiculous.

If we trade David Lee in a sign and trade, I would love to see him sent to Milwaukee for Charlie V and Brandon Jennings.

Or another good trade might be Chris Duhon plus cash, for Jennings. I don't see Jennings as a Scott Skiles player at all. Duhon is, he's played for him before.

I'm shocked Chase Budinger, Sam Young, and DeJuan Blair haven't been drafted yet.
