I would love to hear John talk about when he first met the Knicks greats like Houston, Ewing, Reed, Walt.

I would love to see a 4 part show on Isiah Thomas and his gift for drafting well. Devote an entire episode to all of his recent Knicks picks.
During Renaldo Balkman's episode, ask Isiah about when he came up on the Knicks's draft radar last year. Was it during the NIT Tournament at MSG? The Orlando predraft camp? During his workout for the Knicks? Who did he workout against?
Do the same for Frye, Lee, and Robinson.
I'd love to see some of the games from last year's NIT in which Balkman won MVP and led his team to the title.
Any chance MSG can air those games??

The question has been asked if the Denver game brawl helped to energize the Knicks. I say it wasn't the brawl that energized the team but the result. Isiah was forced to shorten the rotation and most importantly, insert David Lee into the starting line-up! I know he is a spark plug off the bench. But with the way the Knicks notoriously start slow. Why doesn't Isiah start Lee and take advantage of his energy from the tip. He knows how to energize the fans. His type of play has a way of rubbing off on others. Another question is why doesn't he shorten the rotation like he was forced to after the brawl. It's obvious that with Lee starting and the 8 man rotation we were winning!

Isiah feels that Daivd is more valuable off the bench than starting. Right now he's number one in all types of bench catagories and has great stats per 48 minutes. Sometimes you don't want to mess with a good thing.
Hey TheGuy: Clyde mentions your post in Dishin and Swishin and gives his thoughts on Balkman.
In bad news, episode 4 of CenterCourt will be delayed due to some technical problems. It's all recorded, but the editing cannot be done yet. I'm hoping to have it ready by this weekend. Sorry guys.
What'd you guys think of the blog?

Well then it sounds as though Isiah is more concerned about stats and not winning. This team was winning more with the shorter rotation and Lee starting. If the Knicks consider a good thing losing but preserving a single players stats, then we need a new coach. By the way Lee puts up the same numbers starting or coming off the bench! I could understand this logic if it affected another players game. But J.J. is just as ineffective coming off the bench or starting. Frye has been streaky as well. Personally I feel its still some sour grapes over Lee paying Larry Brown some compliments!

Hey "MSG NEWMEDIA" - I finally found the CenterCourt Podcast - I don't know if you gave us the link, so here it is: http://www.msg.com/centercourt.jspSounds great! I'm a big Gus Johnson and John Andraise fan, and it's pretty cool having Clyde answer a question personally! Here's a new question: If you could bring in ONE more player to improve on this current Knick's squad, what type of player would he be? Or would you stand pat and let this group continue to develop?

A question for Clyde: We've had some exciting "buzzer beaters" this season. Are there any game winning shots that you've made that you will always remember? (Or how about any dramatic steals or assists - to me the most exciting play in basketball is a steal or block that leads to a score on the other end of the court)

Well, it's not like I'm inside the coach's office reading his playbook. It's just my thinking that David is more valuable off the bench than starting. It's not just about numbers, its that he creates a spark and now with Jerome James starting, David gets more time alongside Channing, and the two of them create defensive mismatches. Imagine having two big, bulky post up guys in Eddy and Jerome start at 4 and 5, and then all of a sudden two young athletic, midrange shooting guys like Channing and David jump off the bench. Not a lot of teams have the depth to be ready for that. Thanks for listening to the show and for the positive feedback guys!
