Interesting.

Zach is a good fit down there. There's no better player to put next to Hasheem Thabeet than Randolph. They compliment each other perfectly.

Memphis really needed lowpost scoring, and that's exactly what Zach can do for them. As for the Clippers, Q has nothing left, but is a good lockerroom presence for guys like Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin.

The Clippers are now stacked at every position.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict they're a playoff team next year if they stay healthy and don't movie Camby or Kaman.

You're right, but the Clippers needed low-post scoring, the Knicks needed (and still need) low-post scoring, and the Blazers, who are now good, still need low-post scoring, and they've all seen fit to get rid of Randolph within a two-year period and none of those teams were any good while he was with them.

Memphis doesn't wonder why? Coincidence?

Great move for the Clippers. We'll see how the shots are distributed in Memphis. No one has to worry about the other end of the floor.

This guy has gotten traded by two of the league's laughingstock franchises in a year's time. Not a good look.

Exactly, which makes the Gasol "trade" more curious.

Listen, I understand you don't like Zach, I love him and I think he's a great fit down there. And yes, Memphis did this because nobody else would go down there.

From a talent stand point, this is a homerun for Memphis.

Hasheem Thabeet will make up for Zach's deficiencies on D, and on offense, Zach can have the paint to himself.

As for the Clippers, Chris Kaman, Blake Griffin, and Al Thornton are more than enough lowpost scoring for them. And they're all 2 way players and with the exception of Kaman they're all great athletes.

They also have alot of depth with DeAndre Jordan and Marcus Camby.

My personal feelings about Zach Randolph have nothing to do with the fact that he's been traded by bad teams so frequently in such a short period of time, and just got traded by another bad team to yet another bad team.

It sounds as if you're saying the Clippers are better with an unproven rookie in place of Randolph. So the Clippers are better without him (as is Portland), and the Grizz are better with him?

I agree that this trade is a win-win for both.

I don't know.

We're talking about a guy who was traded for Channing Frye and the contract of a one-legged Steve Francis, then a year later was traded for Tim Thomas and Cuttino Mobley who had to retire because of a bad heart(and the trade went through anyway) and now gets dealt for the remnants of Quentin Richardson.

Not to mention the fact that Memphis already has two guys who think they're the primary scorer on the team in Gay and Mayo; now you add Zach Randolph to the mix and only one of those three guys even attempts to get in a defensive stance (not that defense matters or anything).

Memphis might be better, but they still won't be any good.
