Mad Yuk

Between the Ranger Team and this Giant Team, I don’t think you will find a Heart among any of the players. The worst I have ever seen in all my years as a Giant Fan. Yes there have been some heart breakers going back to when the Giants played in Yankee Stadium. But never have I witnessed a disgrace of emotion, heart grit and the will to win like I have seen today. It’s as if after that first drive when the touch down was taken back on a penalty and then the turn over which should have resulted in a first down, the entire heart was taken out of both the offense and the defensive of this entire Giant Team.

There was no leader ship on both sides of the ball. Big Deal Eli gives a speech and then throws an interception. Last game at Giant Stadium, a must win against a team that is totally out of the playoff hunt, ex Giant Greats at the game, and this team is a disgrace to be wearing the Giant Blue.

This team in no way deserves to be in the playoffs, and this defensive coordinator for the Giants shouldn’t even be coaching High School Football. I have never see a defensive coach get so out coached by the other teams offensive coach ever, like this guy is getting outcoached. He should be fired tonight.

Thank God for my NY Yankees, they are the only team that I root for in NY that has the leadership and guts to win.

I never thought there could be a day in my life that I would hope that the Cowboys win a football Game. But tonight, I won't watch the game, because there is no way I could watch that game and let my self root for the Cowboys. I just hope when I pick up the papers tomorrow morning or watch the late night sports, the Cowboys win their game.

I am so ****ed off Yuk at the Giants for their lack of effort, heart, grid, that this is the only way I can get back at them. They do not deserve to be in the playoffs, and they do not deserve to get another chance next week, and they do not deserve the support of any Giant Fan, after that digusting display of something that was supposed to be one of the biggest games of the season for the Fans, and the Giants. What a sent off to the memories of the great Giant Players and their Fans.

I only have one more thing to say to the Giants Up Yours.

i guess we gave too much credit to jerry reese when they won the bowl when in fact it was accorsi that built that team.

over the last couple of seasons as we lost players and coaches reese has not filled the voids well enough because this defense is average at best and most often then not they are ineffective.

the offense at times shows promise but it seems that when they start to get on a rythym they change their play calling to disrupt it somehow.

the defense sits in a pretty tough spot because they really have a good 4 man front but the linebacker and defensive back positions are so weak that when they send a couple extra guys to help the 4 man front, they cut themselves short in the secondary and give up the big play.

and then when they let the 4 man do all the work there is no real rush and the qb has all the time in the world and once again big play.

i knew this team was done weeks ago and all i hoped was that they would finish with a respectable record and to win the home finisher and they could not even do that.

to start 5-0 and then to go 3-7 is just pathetic, they do not even deserve to win next week, just go lose that game and go home as .500 losers and watch the playoffs because thats where quitters belong.

Below is a quote from the Great Harry Carson about the Giants game, and make sure you take note of the area I put in Bold Letters, that just about tells you the difference with sports today then it was in the reall days of Football, and Baseball. No one was pals with the other team. Read Below:

Carson: This was painful

You bet this one hurt Harry Carson, who goes back to the beginning, Oct. 10, 1976, with Giants Stadium.

"It hurts from the standpoint of, I was here the first year, and I remember people booing," Carson said. "We started the season against Dallas [a 24-14 loss], and I think the next home game was against Philadelphia [a 10-0 loss to drop to 0-8 as John McVay replaced Bill Arnsparger], and we stunk up the place, and people were throwing [bleep] at us ... they were throwing apples, oranges, toilet paper, all of that stuff.

Here's what else Carson didn't like: It was Panthers 24, Giants 0 as the teams headed off for halftime.

"What the issue is might be more about pride," Carson said. "Guys now, they're playing against one another, but yet, they're friendly with the guys who they're playing against. ... I can understand that to a certain extent. But when guys are ripping your [butt], you don't get buddy-buddy with guys at halftime, 'cause there were a couple of guys who I saw buddy-buddy.

"You have to go out and play with an attitude, and I don't necessarily see that in any of these guys. ... When you're getting your [butt] kicked at home, in front of your fans, you should be angry, as opposed to sort of hanging out with guys that you're playing against. You don't do that."

slapper, they DON'T have a good four man front, that's the root of all their problems. All Osi does is run nhis mouth, Tuck's bveen playing with one arm all year, God only knows why he played in the blowout games against TB, KC and Oakland ealry in the year. Some rest might have helped. Canty only showed up for one game, the Cowboy game. Bernand was bad, as was Robbins. I know Sheridan is taking a lot of heat, and rightfully so, but he wasn't the guy missing tacles or not pressuring the QB. Basic stuff, doesn't matter what the scheme is, they didn't get it done.

i slightly disagree, the four man front is good if they have a suppoting cast, but as for teams with powerhouse four man fronts i agree they don't have it.

what i was driving at is beside tuck being not 100% their foiur man would have been far more productive if everyone around them were better, with that said if i were the team i would still look for some better options even in that area if available.

also, if i were to pick the better of the three area's of the defense the d line definitly did a better job throughout the season then the linebackers and secondary, would'nt you agree?

There has to be big changes in the defense, starting with the Defensive Coach, I am sure he will be fired at seasons end. And the Giants have to really look at the players on D and determine who is really worth keeping.

And don't be surprised if Jacobs is sent bye bye.

You can make all the excuses you want for that game but IMO, there are no excuses that are acceptable

Not a proud moment to be a Giant fan right now Hiding This team needs a major overhaul, Reese HAS to fix the Secondary and FIRE Bill Sheridan cause he ****ed as our "Defensive Coordinator" tho blame should go to Coughlin cause we started out 5-0 and ended the year 3-7(not counting next weeks final game) we also need to upgrade the LB cause Pierce imo is done!

He hasn't done Shet this year to live up to his contract. He has been talking big but he hasn't lived up to it.

Just a thought, would you trade Jacobs for Ward? and use the one two combo of Ward and Bradshaw? Jacobs is big and strong, but he keeps running straight up and has gone no where this year. Seems teams have got his number. So maybe we have to blame the offensive coach and head coach for not coaching this guy on how to put his head down and blow guys over. What he has tried this year is not working.

Again, don't be surprised if they move Jacobs. The running game was our bread and butter for years which opened up our pass game. It has not worked this year. For that matter nothing has worked this year.

Maybe the head coach has to be made accountable also. It wouldn't bother me if they made a major over hall. That last game deserves just that. But we shall see what we shall see.

I liked Ward but I'm happy with Jacobs and Bradshaw at running back. Somehow I feel its going to come out that Jacobs played hurt most of the year. The coaches need get Jacobs back to the smash mouth RB he used to be.

I really can't see the Giants moving Jacobs our Running game had an off year now if its still a problem after next year then maybe a move should be made.

the only moves I'd make are to improve the secondary and fire the Defensive Coach Mad

i don't think we need to get rid of him, i just think his role should be more specialized and he not be used as a every down back, as allready mentioned by tony g, they got his number.

and on top of that he is not even the same player, and i also think that even though he can put his helmet down and run through any one, he gets taken down too easily with the little ankle grab tackles.

this team definitly needs some changes, but i don't think jacobs is one of them.

Attention Giants fans........This team has no bleeping secondary or cb's or Db's...
I thought 2 years ago reese made plans to upgrade this backfield, well where was it?
Injuries did hurt-Ross-Philips.
Webster had a very bad year,so rouse stinks.
Now,they are weak on defensive front, well sheridan is as good as gone.

The day this team lost spagnolio,is the day the defense went down hill fans....and it's heart as well. So,offense i think thier fine.
recievers are solid,no burress no problem.
Giants had better hire a new defensive coord
and also go deep in the draft for a better secondary, hello Mr reese.

slapper, the Dline was, by far, the worst unit on the field, offense or defense. There were games when QB's never got touched. The Carolina QB the other day only got hit once. McNabb only got touched two or three times a couple weeks ago. As for the run defense, great stat, opponents are 19 for 20 throughout the year on third and one, that tells you the guys up front aren't getting any push.
