I hear that Spags has an interview with the Jets for their Head Coaching job, now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Spagnuolo still under contract with us? Didn't we give him like a 3yr deal to stay as our Defensive Coach?

Also do we really want to lose him to the Jets? Our D is playing well and its what imo won us the SB a year ago. They kept us in the game all night long until Eli and Plax hooked up for the winning TD.

I would say that without question,that in fact there are alot of teams right now that want Spags and throw in Jets-Skins from last year and various other teams.
He's a defensive genius and most definitly a head coach candidate,The next bill Belichik.

He's almost as good as gone at the end of the year,even if BiGblue doesn't get the Lombardi trophy.But they will.
If he gets a solid offer,he's gone if i am correct?I just hope not.
He's the best Dc Giants have ever had since belichik days in the 80's.

You would have to promote him to the same position or a higher one to keep him. So obviously if we offer him our head coaching job and he accepts, the contract he has with you is void.

I think Spagnuolo will be a good coach somewhere as well but I really don't want him. Rex Ryan is a better co-ordinator imo, has more experience and fits our team better with his 3-4 system. He'll probably cost much less too becuase he doesn't have a lot of offers like Spags does.

i beleive he is allowed to pursue jobs for the betterment of his career because even though its a different team it is obviously a promotion.

due to the giants having a bye week teams and spags are free to talk or interveiw with one another if they like but when the bye is over he is off limits until the giants are eliminated or win it all whichever comes first and their season is officially over.

1. spags and the jets don't mix since spags is a 4-3 guy and the jets are built for the 3-4

2. even though he's signed, he can still leave

3. if he's gone, the giants will promote a guy from within who's knows spags' schemes
