This is it, it's still hard to believe but we're only one game away from our first Super Bowl appearance since Joe Namath's guarantee. Only one season and Rex is tied for the most wins in Jets post season history already. Let's break that record Rex!
Pressure on Manning and time of possesion will be key. Knock Peyton on his ***!! I believe in this team damn it!
I know the Jets can win this game. I think the single most important factor might be the Game Plan. Apparently Rex Ryans defenses are 1-6 against Manning led Colts teams. Rex Ryan has got to chose the right game plan to beat them. If he gets it wrong they are gonna score quickly. Then he has to make adjustments quickly to stop the bleeding. I don't care how good any defense is - the wrong game plan to stop Manning and that defense loses. We don't have the best 4 pass rushers in the league so we have to game plan to be effective. That being said I think Rex gets it right! He has seen enough to know what is gonna work against Manning. Also a ball controlling offense is a good defense against Manning. Rex will get this right and the Jets will win a close battle.
Much has been made about how Indy pulled Peyton in week 16 but I've always thought that Peyton and the Indy team KNEW he,and some others, were going to be pulled, so IMO they did everything they could to bury the Jets early so their reserves could continue their unbeaten streak. The best they could do was a 15-10 lead almost 2/3's into the game. ALL the pressure is on them. I think they'll sell out against the run and Sanchez will have a big day while only attempting 23 passes. On defense my man this season; Jim Leonhard will also be huge. As far as field goals go, Feely is THE MAN. Jets win: Jets 24 Indy 14
Congrats on a good year fellow fans. We are gonna be one mean football team next year. Yes injuries killed us today. We need a few more pieces. I fully expect a deep playoff run next season also.
tough way to lose, injuries played a role but the Colts had the answers in the second half, that TD to end the half was big, also going for that 52yd FG I am not sure if that's the right play, but I give some credit Mark Sanchez he played big he held his own against an all time great, thanks for the run Jets for amoment I was dreaming of superbowl when they were up 11 but the Jets have the building blocks for a great run
Good season. Thomas Jones needs to go. He runs with no fight. He goes down on 1st contact and even falls before getting hit. Hopefully Leon returns to 100% and then we have a good backfield with him and Greene.
As soon as Greene went down I knew our season was over. Even if you pass well like we did it doesn't work against Manning. You have to limit his possessions and once Greene left our running game was done.
