If the Bengals play it's a different story but I don't see the starters playing for longer then a half and I highly doubt they'll even play longer then a quarter.

I hope your right brother! Nothing would please me more then being wrong.

No you're not crazy. And this Sunday just may turn out to be the cruelest of the cruel that we've ever seen. Think about it, the last game for anybody of the 2009 season. The VERY LAST game at the ol ballpark. Everything on the line, against a team where NOTHING matters. Where have we seen this in the past? How many "Lion" games in December have there been.

However, I for one am not going to dread this game. Everything is set for what may be the ultimate in prime time viewing for all my fellow Jet fans. Either we'll be viewing this as a "Who shot JR" drama classic where we FINALLY in our last game there, shoot down the demons that have chased us in the fetid swamp called the Meadowlands OR the ultimate in comedic entertainment, worthy of a Mel Brooks/Buck Henry footprint on the Comedians Walk of Fame.

Either way, I can't wait for next Sunday!!

Yes laying down to us is their best plan. If they don't and they expend a ton of energy and beat us their prize would be a date with Pittsburgh or the Ravens or Denver. If I'm Cinncy I want to play the Jets in round one. Yes they will rest and we will win.

The same old Jets are dead. The Rexorcist killed that ghost. We went way farther than anyone thought we would and i'm extremely proud.

It took arguably the greatest player in NFL history to put this team to rest. We'll be back. Believe that...

If anyone but the greatest player in NFL history was facing us, I think we win the whole thing. He's just not fair to play against.

What we need to do next year is have a big time regular season so we get a game like this in our building.

It suc ks that the season is over. Now us Met fans get to experience what an awful organization looks like.

Agreed...Manning Im convinced is a Robot that throws heat seeking missiles. It hurt that Sheppard and Lowry got banged up because Coleman wasnt too good out there. Sanchez in th playoffs showed he has what it takes to win...and in the playoffs he actually used Keller which hopefully he will utilize next season. For the first time in a loooonnnggg time going into the draft they dont have a huuuugggeee hole to fix.

What a fantastic diversion the Jets were for us. It was totally unexpected and just great. During the first half, I had to say 'pinch me', just to be sure I was here. After all, a couple of sacks of Manning, those scoring plays by the Jets. It looked as if they were going to somehow do it again. Alas and alack, they weren't, but Manning is simply incredible. He just never misses. Jets had good coverage, but even with two defenders on either side of the receiver, Manning still got it in there. Hats off to him, and hats off to the Jets for an unexpectedly prolonged season. We Jets fans got more than we ever could have hoped for, from the euphoria of a 3-0 start to the doldrums of loss after loss, to the unexpected karma of everything falling into place just perfectly that led us to this point. Don't know what will happen next year; seems it's hard to have carryover from year to year, but it sure seems like this team is built for the long run. Go draft a pass rusher, maybe find another offense wide receiver....
As far as the Mets are concerned, their story is old, really, really old. What I don't understand is all this gnashing of teeth over someone like Delgado, who is the past. This team is not built to win it this year. It should be looking ahead, making decisions for the future, not looking at yesterdays.
I don't sit inside the organization, but we've all decided what a bunch of stumblebums are on the inside.
I'm slow to criticize. I don't sit on the inside.
But I can't argue with results, which are, in a word, pathetic. I'm looking for another 70-90 season. Sorry. Nothing that's happened in this offseason has made me think differently. Parts will break down again, they already have, and the perception by some fans and management that last year was a fluke, never to be repeated, is just wishful, pie-in-the-sky thinking. The Mets, with all parts running, are still in trouble. And they are far from having all parts running. Pretty sad, that in the offseason, I've already written them off. Pretty sad.

No more SOJ's.
30 minutes to the SB instead of the usual race to the bottom for the highlight of most every Jet season; next years draft.

The point is there is always something,be it a muddy field or the greatest QB in NFL history to block the path of this Organization. Manning was there for a reason. Fu'k'n fate was johnny on the spot once again. Did he or she have to tease us once again with that 17-6 lead, just like the 10-0 against Denver and Elway(arguably the second greatest QB in the history of the League)? Look! Rex did a great job,as did Mike T delivering the goods and our future looks bright as we speak. That may be another tease and worries me also. Pay heed, fans. It only takes one knee injury or a series of post concussion syndromes to realize the shoe has fallen on our fu c-'n heads once again. Cruel fate comes in many shapes, forms and occurances. The Jets and their fans always seem to be a primary target! Head Bang

It is evident fu-k'n fate had chosen to postpone his cruel behavior for today!! If only we could have gone into the half with that 17-6 lead starting the 3rd Q with the ball. If only Vinny could have capitalized on the chance of building that 10-0 lead to 17-0 at the half. If only's are our montra. Head Bang

Rexorcist? I'll wait a year or so before rendering such a judgement! Why? I'm a Jet fan. How soon we forget another first year coach coming in here, changing the attitude FROM a rah rah style without substance, to a no nonsense dot the i's and cross the t's type mindset. We even gave the guy a similar complimentary moniker, "Mangenius".

Now I'm not going to complain about the season. It WAS more positive than negative and no doubt we got some MAJOR good luck the last four games, luck that we always see the other teams get.

However, some how the cast of characters change but the fat lady always sings our song before the Lombardi trophy is awarded!

Of all the teams I root for, its this one where I'm absolutely the biggest sore f@##king loser. You'd think I'd be used to it by now. There is no such thing as "moral victories" to me. You, as well as I, have been around long enough to know that this year's "building block" is next year's preseason crippling injury. This year's now inconsequential "referee friendly" game against the Bengals will be next year's "touch foul" on a Brady or a Manning season killer.

We ain't Jet fans Lucky, we're the football equivilent of Eeyore!!!

I guess if we are to feel fortunate about SOMETHING it would be that at least for these last four weeks we had a welcome diversion to that baseball abortion we call the Mets.

Wonder if Revis can cover centerfield!

I'm not sure why you keep on bringing back this post from the graveyard. At least for this season, the Jets proved that they're not the "SAME OL MOTHER F!@!CKIN JETS!!!"

SUFFERAH! Just how long have you been SUFFER'N?? Call em what you want, but this was the same old ending! Here's a little history lesson for you. In '71 Joe Namath and the entire starting backfield suffered season ending injuries. What looked like a blessing with the development and seasoning of Qb Al Woodall and RB'S such as Clark Gaines,George Nock and Kevin Long giving the team extraordinary depth turned out to be a nightmare the following season. I can remember counting the days to the first preseason game against the Lions in '72. Joe Namath was healthy as was Matt Snell and Em Boozer along with what appeared to be a world of depth. Ah!!! The time had finally come. On the first series it took Joe and the Jets exactly 4 plays to reach the end zone. My dream had come true,so it seemed. Unfortunately there was a large shoe hanging over my head which unexpectedly dropped on my head after the Lions QB was sacked by Jerry Philbin ending a three and out series. Joe got the ball back and with 1st round draft pick Lee White standing behind him in the backfield, barked out the signals. Low and behold Lee,to my delight found a canyon sized hole, ran through it and inexplicably fumbled the ball. Joe Willie valiantly tried to tackle Mike Lucci who recovered the fumble and was blocked by fellow LB Paul Neumoff. Joe didn't get up. He suffered a season ending knee injury, numerous others began to fall like duckpins and the season was over before it started. That began a decade long drought until '80 when the Sack Exchange era began. Must I go into that and The Mud Bowl of '82? It never ends here. As The Late Rosanne Rosanna Danna used to say;"its always sompting!" The names, players and systems may change, but our hopes always turn to dust as the results remain the same. Translated, these may not be the SAME OL MOTHER F--K'N JETS,but the F--K'N result is still the same, whether due to glory being blocked by a f--k'n robot disguised as a QB or a freak'n 40 yard pass going thru a pair of alligator hands(Drew Coleman) directly into the oppositions with a minute left in the 1st half. I wouldn't be so concerned with bringing back a post from the graveyard as much as the F--k'n ghosts over there that continue to haunt relic Jets fans such as Red and I who have been in purgatory with this franchise for the past 40 years!
