Thomas Jones could'nt carry the load once Shonne Greene went down - I'm not sure he will be back but we obviously need 2 top rb's or more. We need D-Line help especially in the pass rushing mode. We need another cover cornerback or 3. Rex Ryan should be able to attract some free agents. The future is bright for this Jets team. We ran into the best QB on this planet and a team thats been close to the top for years and if not for some injuries we could of beaten them.

This team is on the brink of winning it all. There are places that can certainly be upgraded but no gaping holes like in the past.
A Cb to play opposite of Revis is a must. A pass rusher would probably complete this defense. Through FA Elvis Dumervil or Julius Peppers would be insane but the chances of getting one of those guys are slim. Through the draft there are several guys who I would love to get. This draft is somewhat top heavy but it's also very deep. Joe Haden would be a dream come true but he'll be a top 15 pick for sure. Terrance Cody has serioius conditioning issues and the Wr class is mediocre at best. We'll see. I'm too depressed to list all of my favorite prospects right now. |

The Jets IMO need another WR that can stretch the field...I havent even looked at the FA pool at WR. Sanchez definantly was not the reason they lost...for a rookie he was phenominal today and the future looks bright. Now Im gonna go waaayyy out of what people may think but if Im the Jets Thomas Jones cannot carry the load it appears and If im Mike T id look into Reggie Bush if the Saints dont pick up his option. Ozz you know the FA pool waayyy better than me...who can the jets get to rush the QB?? Thats the weakness that Manning attacked...after the first 2 series they couldn't touch him |

There are two guys who are head and shoulders above the rest, Julius Peppers and Elvis Dumervil. Peppers is a big name obviously and he'll cost us but he would give us the versatility of having a dominant pass rusher who can stand up in a 3-4 and he's also big enough at roughly 6'6 280 to be a down lineman in a 3-4. Dumervil is really small but he's the Dwight Freeney type, small but insanely quick/athletic. Rex would find a way to use him in his schemes but he doesn't fit as easily as Peppers. 17 sacks on the year for Dumervil last year. Not bad right?
I admit when i'm wrong about draft prospects (like Percy Harvin) but since his name was brought up I have to say that I had Dumervil as one of my sleepers in that draft. I think he was a 4th round pick. Pretty much the only offensive FA that I would pursue if i'm the Jets is Steve Breaston. He would be a really nice weapon for Sanchez being in the slot for the right price. We don't have anything that resembles a slot reciever on this team and as Welker and Collie have shown, it could be quite valuable. |

Lets not forget Manning was only sacked what 10 times or so in the regular season, the pass rush wasn't the problem our secondary couldn't cover after Revis there is no one else that can cover, plus everyone is talking about getting rid of Thomas, we loss Leon and Greene went out with an injury, Thomas isn't flashing as both running backs but he plays every game and every down, I would look into adding WR help keep Edwards but we need a slot receiver, upgrade D-line pass rusher and extra bodies, goodbye Veron |

This is something i've been thinking about for weeks now and something that I think is very likely to happen:
Mark it down, I think Adalius Thomas will be a New York Jet next year. Belechik and Thomas are on terrible terms, Thomas (like Bart Scott) pretty much owes his career to Rex Ryan for molding him into a star and the guy just genuinely wants to win. He took a pay cut to be in New England in the first place. I'm not saying he'll solve any problems but I do think he's a lock to be a Jet or Raven by next year and he would be a really nice addition. Mark it down. |

A complement to Revis on the other side is desperately needed. Evidently the Eagles knew what they were doing, since Shepard was a noticable weakness from day one.Lowery is more of an athlete than football player and Drew Coleman is not a big time player. A conventional pass rushing D Lineman is sorely needed and a replacement for knucklehead Braylon Edwards. You might be surprised with my final comment, but after hearing his thoughts in a post game interview, I have concluded that this guy simply doesn't have the focus and ability to think, which will ultimately cost his team repeatedly. For those of you who didn't catch it,Edwards blamed the loss on becoming too comfortable in the second half and not going after the Colts hard enough. Oh?? His teams inability to keep the ball away from Manning due to the failure of getting a running game off of the ground didn't have anything to do with the loss? The fact that his teammates (Ellis,Leonard and Scott)were either playing with one arm and one leg didn't factor into his thinking? What the hell was he complaining about? Schotty's play calling? Sanchez' QB'ing? I have always felt a feeble mind usually trickles down to performance on the field after all is said and done. You could see from his fidgitiness just before he opened up his mouth nothing of any value was about to be emitted. Perhaps that fidgitiness is the same he displays when many a ball is thrown his way.

I believe he has an option for next year but after the feud between him and Billy boy, they'll without question be parting ways. He won't start here with Harris and Scott obviously but he can play on the outside and play part time in the middle. His big body would really help with the run defense and give Rex another toy to play with. |

The very FIRST thing I'd do would be to talk to Al Davis about aquiring Nnamdi Asomugha. I'm sure the price wouldn't be cheap but with TWO shutdown corners, in their primes, Rex's defense would be AWESOME!
I'v never been a huge TJ guy because he seems to get most of his yards in 2 or 3 "big" plays while he gets 2 yards and a cloud of dust the other 25 carries. However I'm not ready to assume that Leons going to be fine, that leg break was pretty brutal. His game depends on his ability to cut so I wouldn't be too quick to get rid of TJ. I'd get a veteran backup QB (goodbye Kellen). I'd get a better punter. I'd get a better punt returner. Of course this depends on LW's health, but Cotchery's just not the answer. Goodbye Clowney! ENOUGH. Great in preseason and then nothing. We REALLY need a slot receiver. Woodhead might be someone to look at there. We also need a quality pass rusher so we can get to the QB occassionaly without having to blitz. If both Kris Jenkins and Leon Washington come back healthy WATCH OUT. I read it from someone else here but I just LOVED how it sounded; BEASTS OF THE EAST! |

I'd give up a 1st round pick for Asomugha. It'll never happen though.

It is the Raiders though...we might wake up one morning and find out that we traded Steve Weatherford for Asomugha. I agree I can't see it happening. If by some miracle he is available you go hard after him. Plain and simple. He's only 2nd to Revis. |

Am I the only one that thinks Kerry Rhodes has to go. He's too slow and physical enough. Too many plays made against him and tackles missed
