Word is that he also would not come back to wrestling if he doesn't make the Vikings. BUT, without football and without wrestling - what does he have left? All he knew in his life was wrestling before so I can't see him staying away from it for good, especially if he doesn't make the team. A competitor's spirit always needs something.
His pride won't allow him to come back anytime soon BUT I'm pretty sure that the terms of his release from his contract, which still had a few years on it, is that if he decides to come back to wrestling in that time, it must be with the WWE. Give it another year or two.
