Ok, let's talk about these guest hosts.
I thought Bob Barker was one of the best guest hosts. Everything with him just seemed well booked and planned out and his charm worked great with a very adoring and appreciative crowd. Also, the wrestlers were all big fans and took tons of pics with him backstage that they posted to their twitter accounts. Pretty cool. Bob Barker - A As much as I love her, Trish was dreadful as guest host last week. She tried too hard to be funny and her opening segment was just rambling and too long. Nice to see her back in the ring though. Trish Stratus - C+ Cedric last night wasn't used much but the on-ramp and in-ring segments with Chavo were very funny and good. How about lists of who posters here think would for interesting hosts ?
Here are some names in no particular order that I would like to see guest hosting Raw ... Mr. Bob Backlund Someone to put the plebeians in their place. X-Pac & Chyna How cool would a full DX reunion be ? Derek Jeter We see His face everywhere else . Why not here ? Besides, maybe we'll get lucky and see "legend Killer" Randy Ortan RKO the icon shortstop. The Geico Caveman 15 minutes of total airtime should be easy enough for Him . Jimmy Superfly Snuka He would make a main event but no one in the match will be able to understand his mummble enough to know what they are supposed to do. Howie Mandell and The Deal or No Deal Models In a joint venture The WWE Divas take over for the models on DOND for one show and the models in turn do one show on Raw . The Deal Or No Deal models along with the WWE Divas are both advertised as being the most georgous women on T.V. How about a showdown ? The Muppets Miss Piggy Vs Hornswoggle, and Poor Chavo of course. Bruno Sammartino It's time WWE and their "Living Legend" mended fences doggone it ! Don King A perfect choice IMO. King, the ultimate showman has always been excelent on the mic . Can You imagine a Raw with Don King the ultimate Boxing promoter along side Vince Mcmahon the ultimate wrestling promoter ? Last night's guest host, Rev. Al Sharpton was pretty good for how little he was used. Good much needed promotion for his work. |

How about as Raw Host Randy "Macho Man " Savage ? Ohhh Yeahhh!!
There is a new WWE DVD on Savage isn't there ? BTW I think it ridulous that on that DVD there are several legends that appear and talk about RS yet the Macho Man Himself is not shown speaking on His own DVD . Sad . |

What in the blue hell was that crap? The Rock should fire his agent. If the Rock was smart, he wouldn't try to promote that movie too much if he guest host Raw. He might get booed out of the building. Now watch this wack movie do 30 million the first weekend. Gotta love the kids. |

The Rock's new movie will probably easily do $30 million and won't do a thing to hurt his credibility, at least not in Hollywood. And judging by the reaction on SD, not with his fans either. I have no problem with him doing it.
Last night's host Ben R. (haha, I won't even try), was decent. Having the Divas come out in football uniforms to fight worked for me! Also, pretty cool segment with JeriShow, the Steelers offensive line and DX. |

Nancy O'Dell wasn't bad. She certainly showed a lot of confidence out there and is a diehard WWE fan having shown up at a few PPVs in the past. They even had a segment on Access Hollywood with her and HHH and showed Maria Menounos training for her match.
I know a lot of you don't like the guest host concept but it is working for the WWE and getting them lots of mainstream exposure. The ratings have also been solid and have gone up in a lot of cases, such as next week with Snoop Dogg. I expect that they'll get good ratings out of that. |

Snoop Dogg was a decent host last night. Was very comfortable on the mic and in the ring and that goes a long way. For what he did, he was good. I'll take the ugh moment of him getting over on Chavo (who's a big fan of Snoop's) to see Hornswoggle's dance moves! LOL! Santino as Charlie the Brown was hilarious!
Being a huge NASCAR fan, I can't wait to see next week's RAW with 2 of its youngest and most talented drivers. |
