Interesting but I hope to not see this happen. Brock hasn't proven much to even get a sniff at a match with Randy. As for Randy, he's got nothing to prove and doesn't need to get in the cage for anything other than a title shot.
Well, UFC hot-shotted their booking and not only is the Couture v. Lesnar fight on for UFC 91 on Nov. 15th but Randy comes back as the HW Champ and its a title fight!
What happened to fighting the Interim Champ first to establish who the Champ is? What's the point of interim Champ if its proven a meaningless title?
Seriously. A 1-1 record gets a title shot? I know Brock is a big name but why not have this be Randy's 3rd fight on his 3 fight contract so that Brock can actually get some momentum and make it a bigger payday? This is the UFC getting greedy to make a quick payday when they could have a bigger one if they are just patient. IMO, as good as Brock may be, his 1-1 record getting a title shot cheapens the UFC Heavyweight division AND the title.
Dana is trying to cash in on his cow now before it gets slaughtered. This fight will make huge $$. Dana knows that Lesnar might not win his next 2 fights. So throw him in now. This is an insult for the hardcore fans.
