Definitely nothing but the truth. Although I doubt Punk would be one of the WWE's goons to go out and trash TNA, I also don't think he'd back down if asked to do so and it can't hurt to put him back in the WWE's good graces to say what he said. Of course it'd have more weight to it if the WWE would have let him still be in his high profile slot that he had had just mere weeks ago. This trash job though may help him get his spot back faster. Good job Punk.

Punk calling out Hogan is laughable. Hogan was a huge part in building up WWE and WCW. What has Punk ever done? The wrestlers from today should say nothing about Hogan because it makes them look real weak. It's funny how much jealousy guys still have for Hogan. Many of these same guys would have done the same thing as Hogan. Most people are going to look out for number 1. I'm sure Hogan had his fair share of faults and maybe he could of dropped the belt for a couple of guys along the way. Then again, Hogan was a cash cow and I'm sure the WWE wanted the belt on Hogan. It was Hogan's job to be a top performer and to get fans to watch and go to live events. It was not Hogan's job to be buddy buddy with all the wrestlers and make sure he was liked by everyone.

do you know the cult and legacy he's built for himself??
he was the stone cold steve austin of the indies ... the BEST wrestlers in history and even though wwe waters down his moveset to 1/4 of it he still puts up A+ matches and his mic skills and promo's are tops in the buisness of every wrestlign promotion out there.

all hogan did was be good on the mic, that's all ... he can't wrestle and every wrestler hates how big he was despite of it. if you remember and watch hogan vs michaels in 2005, michaels MOCKED him in their match at the ppv ... he oversold every move from hogan. hogan would punch him and michaels would fly over the top ropes ... hogan would chop him and michaels would do a backwards flip.
Being good on the mic is critical. That skill is lacking today. Hogan was a huge guy. It made sense for Hogan to use power moves. It fit his character. Hogan was not going to be a scientific wrestler. Michaels is another guy who cannot take it that Hogan brought Wrestling to heights he never could. Michaels and HHH can only dream about being close to Hogan's level. Every wrestler should thank Hogan for playing a huge part in the success of wresling. Wrestling was not exactly on solid ground before Hulkamania. Please understand I'm not judging the man as a person. I'm judging his impact as a performer. I can understand guys being upset if Hogan was given the top spot and did not produce. Hogan got the job done time and again and went to another company and that company took off. It does not matter if Hogan could not do a figure four leglock. Hogan's charisma brought Wrestling to a level few could match.

When I think of Mic skills I think about Hogan Savage Piper Million Dollar Man and Honky Tonk to name a few. I cannot say I'm familar with CM on the mic. I'm a fan of wrestling of the 80's. Today's wrestling does very little for me. That's not to say I'm right and others are wrong. It's all about personal tastes.
Oh please. So Punk is a good performer with good promo skills, tell me what the man has done for the industry. Put on a few 4 star matches in an alternative promotion in front of 200 people?? Tell me what is so revolutionary about his WWE promos. Don't get wrong, they're entertaining, but the way people talk about this guy, it is more or less the same stuff week after week after week. You show me that promo on Germany, I'll show you a match between he and Elijah Burke from a few years ago where these two flopped around the ring like 2 fish out of water for almost a minute.
The Hogan hating all over the wrestling world, whether it's between the four walls of the arena, from the geeky smarks on YouTube or on this board is tired and rather sad. We all know what the man was backstage, an opportunist and a politician. And a lot of them are still jealous to this day -- that goes for your golden boys Bret and Flair as well. Why don't you people ever recognize the slam at Mania 3, the inagural face v. face match at Mania 6..the list goes on and on. Why don't you recognize that in his 2002-2005 comeback Hogan ate both pinfalls AND submissions to The Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Angle and Lesnar? And if you're gonna be angry about the way he got there, stop with the selective outrage. Don't kid yourselves, Bret and Flair were politicians too.
I agree with what is being said about Hogan and what he did for the industry however, this isn't what Punk was talking about so the argument has been sidetracked into something else. What Punk said was truth, Hogan is there for his own ego and will probably do nothing for TNA other than help the ratings and even that is doubtful at this point.
What Punk has said about Hogan is nothing new though, only where it relates to TNA does it have some newness.
I heard about the 4 sided ring change but the only other things that are a lock right now is Scott Hall and Xpac going to TNA and last I saw Hall he looked like old, fat Elvis and could barely move in the ring. They aren't really going to try to reform the NWOld are they? LOL!
RVD has said not to expect him and be disappointed so we'll see if that's a swerve. I don't see Tommy going down there.
