what a dominant performance. you could see how hard brock tried to keep himself calm and not make any mistakes. he was so much bigger and wider than herring, honestly it looked like a huge mismatch at times. mind you herring was listed at 6'3 250. brock was listed at 6'3 265, but he clearly put alot of that weight (mostly water i'm sure) back on and was around 280.
very fun to watch brock go out there and beat on somebody. he's gonna be a huge draw if he keeps winning. |

Brock is a beast. Matched well he will do ok. Just keep him the hell away from anyone who knows Ju-jit-su.
GSP and Florian where really impressive. |

Or that knows any real submissions. Brock showed a lot of holes in his game. His strength and power is his biggest asset right now. He still hasn't taken a shot to show he can take one. He still has a lot of tests to pass. Kongo looked good. The Florian-Huerta fight was great. So was the GSP-Fitch one. GSP keeps improving. I understand that they have to try to hype things but I found it rather disrespectful to see BJ there ready to rain on his parade to make a challenge. How about sticking to your weight class? |

I thought the same thing... GSP as usual was total class. |

How long before Brock finds himself back in the WWE ?

probably a while. unless he gets destroyed in his next couple of fights, i don't see much reason for lesnar to leave. he just took a guy with over 40 career fights and wiped the floor with him. diehard pointed out there are some holes in his game but an experienced fighter like herring obviously had a very hard time taking advantage of them. as long as brock continues to work hard and fine-tune his skills, he'll be a serious force. things would really have to fall apart for him to come back to the WWE. it's similar to The Rock's situation...i would never think he'd come back unless his new career completely BOMBED, which it really hasn't (actually the complete opposite) |

Just off the top of my head, Gonzaga and Werdum. I'm sure there are a few more... |

Lesnar eat GG and Werdum for lunch if they get in the cage with him. I don't think they are in the class of Mir and Nog when it comes to BJJ

I'm also very curious to see how Brock reacts when his chin is tapped by a hard puncher...

I think Gonzaga would NOT be an easy fight for Lesnar. Standing up or on the ground. Heath Herring for all his experience is a very undisciplined fighter who just gets by on his brawling. I want to see a tougher opponent for him. We still haven't seen enough of a sample of him to really assess how he can stand up to a better class of fighter. Even the Mir loss was too small a sample to really see anything. We've seen his power but his attitude after the fight was a bit much for someone who just evened his record at 1-1.

His attitude was a response to a couple things. His first win and the BS talk from Herring's camp that Brock didn't deserve to be in the cage with him.
And I think GG just gets overwhelmed by Lesnar's pace. GG Gases in the 1st round defending |

I get that, just don't see the need for it after the beatdown he put on Herring. That said it all. I can see what you're saying about Gonzaga but I think Gonzaga would be a dangerous fight for Brock. You sound as if you think that he's got a straight line to the title, who do YOU think can give him trouble or beat him? |

Funny you mention title shot and Brock. Not sure how much validity it has but I recently read that he is fighting later this year and it may be for a title shot. With all the rumors that fall flat in MMA who knows how true it is. Brock gets flack for what he did but Randy get praise for spanking Tito... double standard. I think Mir loses if they fight again. I think Nog is very dangerous for him. Nog can take a beating and then pull out the win. Heck that is his game plan it seems. Shane Carwin would be interesting since they are so similar. O"Brien, Sanchez Wellisch... that level fighter I think he has no issues with. |

Brock has to learn how to finish a fight. Sure, he smashed Herring, but Heath, though experienced, is a journeyman who has lost to every "name" he's faced.
A couple more lay 'n pray matches and the natives will get restless. BTW-there are very few talented, well rounded heavyweights anywhere (other than Fedor)-which is probably why the UFC is stocking up on the lighter weight classes. WEC is AWESOME. |
