Happy Monday all. Today is a big day in Sabreland as the hated Toronto Maple Leafs come to town. These are wonderful games to attend. The average Leaf fan cannot buy a ticket at the ACC to see their beloved Maple Leafs. All the tickets go to season ticket holders who have held them for literally generations. As a result of this, the Leafers flok to Buffalo to see their team live. Buffalo carries 14,000 season ticket holders, but the other 4,690 will mostly be Leaf fans. I cannot wait. I'll be sitting 6 rows from the glass, and should be in the middle of a ton of Canadians. Hopefully, we'll stay out of fights, and have an entertaining game to watch.

If preseason is anything to base on, then the Sabres should handle the Leafs easilly. With a minor league lineup in place, and Toronto's actual lineup in place, the Sabres dismantled the Leafs 7-2 during a preseason matchup. Also, the Sabres took 54 shots last game while Toronto gave up 52. This could get bad, but who knows?

Word on the street is that Sabre' backup goalie, Jocelyn Thibault, will get his first look of the season. Let's hope the boys play well in front of him.

Predictions: Thomans Vanek has a hattrick, Afinogenov has a goal and 3 helpers and the Sabres win 6 - 3.

i think the sabres are gonna take a pill chill tonight....even though the leafs defense is horrific.
